Remarks
Very efficient teaching staff and a lot of them are PhD holders and have a very good experience in the field itself, the university gives a lot of Importance to co-curricular activities and they also fund the extracurricular activities at times and reimburse registration fees. The class hours are very flexible and they have classes for an average of 5 hours which is very convenient. The University has a lot of clubs like the- Best Forum (From economics department), Vox populi(Journalism department), The psychology forum, etc. The college also has a very well-stocked library. The admission process includes an entrance test only. The Entrance test has 4 sections- qualitative reasoning, quantitative reasoning, General Knowledge and Numerical ability. If the student scores above 50% in the test he/she is selected for the next round that is the group discussion. The group discussion is usually about a general topic and at the end there is a PI if selected can pay fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I was very interested in Psychology and I wanted to learn more about it. There are about 4-5 faculty members for a specific subject. most of them also practice regularly in their field. And most of them are also PhD holders and are Subject matter experts. The faculty to student ratio is 2:70. All the faculty members hold a master's degree in their respective fields. Those without a PhD are currently in the process of pursuing one. We are taught for about 5 hours every day. The teaching staff after explaining the modules give Homework and projects that require the application of what we learn in class so this helps students in better understanding the subject matter. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate. And they are held in a timely manner. We are also given Unit tests for 35 marks that's is later converted into 5% of our overall% we are given 2 projects that hold 10% of the overall% and final exams hold 70 marks and 5% for attendance and 10% for prep exam.
Placement Experience
Our campus is very small and we do not have any placements of any sort so it is very difficult when it comes to getting placed in companies but a lot of students opt for searching for placement on their own and they do find a lot of internships on their own as well lord students who study in our campus look forward to higher studies so they do not look forward to getting employed as soon as they graduate from the college so this becomes easier and its cause a convenient given that the university does not provide any sort of employment opportunity or in campus placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
For my course, I had to pay 99500+12000 in the first year the 12000 was the admission fee. For the 2nd year I had to pay 97500 in three instalments -1st instalment-39000, 2nd instalment- 29250, 3rd instalment- 29250. For the third year also I'm supposed to pay 97500. I have not received any scholarships from the University.
Campus Life
Campus life includes a lot of clubs and a lot of organisations like NSS and also much more in specific there are clubs for journalism there are clubs for economics there are clubs for psychology there are clubs for various other things is like for literature.
Interview Experience
The admission is based on the performance in the Jain Entrance Test. The Jain entrance test has four sections. The four sections include - logical reasoning, mathematical reasoning, General knowledge, quantitative reasoning. The candidates are supposed to score above 50%. Once the test is done then they are put into groups for the group discussion and the topics are general topics and then they get selected for a personal interview. The preparation is like any other competitive exam basic subjects like logical reasoning, general knowledge and mathematical ability etc.
