Remarks
I got to know about this college through the NIRF rankings and AKTU rankings, one of my school senior also told me about the college who was already studying in it. The admission is both through UPSEEE and management quota. They conduct an assessment test while admitting through management quota which is not very hard to crack. The primary reason for picking up this college was I got easily moved away by what was shown to me by the college in various rankings, brochure, etc. It's very lame to say but still, I shall mention that I was too moved by the lush green cricket stadium of the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is in accordance with AKTU which I must say is a bit inferior as compared to tier I and tier II colleges. I got admitted into civil engineering course, basically, I must say that if you are preferring civil engineering from AKTU then you can go for any top-ranked college affiliated to AKTU situated in NCR because all are same when talking about the civil department as none of the colleges was having its CIVIL branch accredited to NBA. Faculty is satisfaction, above average, focuses more on the academic score than on the overall development and skillet of a student. 1:60 is the faculty-student ratio in every class. All the Associate professors are post graduated and many of them have also completed their doctorate. There are 2 sessionals in every semester followed by a pre University exam. If you study thoroughly then it's not a very big deal to pass the exams.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, many internship opportunities are provided by the college in many MNCs and startups. Daveslane is one of the major startup recruiting interns from the college. It provides a stipend of about 5-10 thousand depending upon the role offered. Many projects are being undertaken in the college named ESVC, solar and some software-based too. College team has won eminent prices in ESVC.
Placement Experience
General the campus placements start from the seventh semester, some internship offers with PPO also starts from the sixth semester. TCS, DXC, Daveslane, etc are the companies that visit the college for campus recruitment. Highest on-campus placement goes around 10 LPA and average ranges from 3-4 LPA. A good percentage of students get placed ranging to about 90% of the total strength. I am a GOOGLE aspirant.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are a bit overpriced when compared to the facilities provided but it's the case in every college of NCR. Scholarship to economically weaker students is provided by AKTU every year. Many job and internship opportunities are also available by the campus but most are related to the IT sector. The placement in the core sector is quite weak.
Campus Life
Campus life is fun with friends. Genero is the annual fest and some departmental fests are also organised. Most of them are conducted during the odd semester. The library is good, a variety of books and journals are available in it which can also be accessed online. Classrooms are furnished with ACs and smart class amenities. Sports are also organised but the opportunities given in sports lag to some extent. Various clubs are there for extracurricular activities like drama club (SAMVAAD), literally club (MINERVA), etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is okayish, again hostel fees are overpriced as compared to the facilities provided. 1,2,3 and 4 seater rooms are available with wifi connection. Food is okay, the menu is decided by the student's committee. The hostel can be grabbed very easily by filling out the hostel form. Rooms and bachelor flats can also be rented in crossing republic township which is on walking distance from the college.
Interview Experience
If somebody goes through management quota then he/she will have to go through a computer-based test and a PI. You just have to get your 12th basics clear to pass all of that. Other than this, most of the students are through UPSEEE, whose PCM syllabus can be accessed on its website.
