Remarks

I was in search of a college which provided one semester/ one year abroad course and AGBS was the perfect fit for me that is the main reason behind my choosing this college. apart from that, Amity has a strong brand name and reputation they are known to have good placements and comes under one of the top colleges in India. The exposure here is great, students are outspoken and bold, faculties are very knowledgable and qualified. The admission process here is pretty simple.. they asked us to give an entrance exam which consisted of an aptitude test, grammar and general knowledge test which was then followed by a group discussion and the last step was a personal interview with the dean and other senior faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum Amity provides all the major business specialization courses also the ones trending in the market. I chose an MBA in HR & Marketing. Amity is always improvising so we get to study the latest and updated syllabus. The syllabus is not very hard to grasp if you pay attention. we have one internal exam in the middle of the semester and one final external exam at the end of every semester. Amity follows the CGPA system which is globally recognized case studies are an integral part of our exams which makes us apply our theoretical knowledge that has been taught into use. Faculties here are highly qualified and knowledgeable they are very committed to their job. They make sure to prepare beforehand and give individual help/support if asked for. They try to make our classes fun but also remind us that discipline is very important. They not only teach us what is given in the syllabus but also introduce us to the last happenings in the industry. Theyve been great mentors to us.

Internships Opportunities

4

Yes, the college provides internships and makes sure no student is left behind. Unfortunately due to the global pandemic, we could not physically intern at the offices this year but we surely learned a lot and got an opportunity to intern online. The stipend depends on the companies hiring.

Placement Experience

4.5

AGBS Bangalore provides good placement opportunities we have a placement cell called CRC, where all things related to placements takes place Our placement coordinator is pretty well versed in the field. In the light of the COVID-19 pandemic, our placement cell worked just as efficiently and gave us all the required training. about 75% of students get recruited from the campus every year and leading companies like TCS, PWC, Wipro, Flipkart etc visit our campus every year. The grooming sessions in AGBS is very useful we had guests from the industry to teach us what to do and what not to do. we learnt basic etiquette and also trained on how to prepare for interviews. Amity not only provides great education but also turns us into confident, bold individuals. There are multiple clubs like HR, Marketing, Operations, finance, and cultural club. I had a great exposure here as i led the HR club as the president I had the chance to directly interact with the industry experts and got to learn a lot.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure here at Amity is pretty affordable. for the first semester I paid 167k+15k(refundable security deposit) for the second semester it was 167k for semesters three and four it is 178k. I think it is pretty feasible if you are from a well-to-do background but considering the facilities available here i would say it is worth it. There are multiple scholarships provided but you need to contact the administrative department for more information on that.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life at Amity is pretty great. There are students from the various backgrounds so you get to interact with diverse students. the relationship between students and faculties here is very good. Lots of events and activities are held here so apart from studies there are lots of fun stuff to look forward to here at Amity. We have a good library with a good variety of books, good classrooms and labs with A/C running throughout the day, a decent cafeteria, and a good auditorium where multiple activities are held. Also, we have several sports activities. The cultural club is also great here we have plenty of extracurricular activities like cultural and management fest. as there are diverse students from various backgrounds, we celebrate many occasions like Diwali, Onam, christmas etc.. Amity is all about learning and having fun simultaneously this helps us develop a good balance in life. Due to the pandemic, we had to move online.. but we had a lot of fun hosting and participating.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Students have to opt for their own arrangements. That would not be a problem as Amity is located in koramangala, a prime location in Bangalore, students can find PG, flats, and other accommodations easily around the college.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
