Priya's Review On GLA University, Mathura

I gave college entrance exam which was centred in Agra, I scored 300/500 in that entrance exam, this college is ranked number.1 in India among universities and I've heard from relatives about this college like infrastructure is good, teaching is good and most important sports facilities are provided to students.

Course structure is very vast that you can't complete it on time and we studied from slides and hand written notes. Good things were placement preparation, presentation skills classes, spoken English classes. Things which we don't like was teaching from ppt slides, interruption in student's personal life by faculty as they are less educated.

I do not think so because I have not been in this field or i have not heard from others for the same. College directly hires faculties/coaches for different designations.

Placements and job opportunities are vary big, each and every student get placed till the last because companies come after completion of bachelor of technology or any degree. Companies such as Infosys, tech Mahindra, wipro, vvdn, tata steel, hcl etc comes in our campus every year for recruitment. There package starts from 2.0 CTC to 3.5 ctc.

There are many many events organised and celebrated in college such as sports fest ( national, inter college, intra - college), jd nights, dandiya nights, cultural event(Spandan), nukkad natak, dance competition, inter school competition(Srijan), technical fest for whole weekends, etc. I was the organizer of dance and sports fest.

Fee structure in this college is expensive according to me. In academics, fees is rs 1,30,000/- , for hostel, fees is rs 37k/-, for mess, fees is 25l/- This is per year fees which is quiet expensive. Students can pay fees for each year in two installments that is the relaxation for students and their family.

Yes, students got scholarships but it was applicable only for student whose parents have less income but must not be in government service. Students got good scholarships sometimes. Loan facility is not available.

Campus life was awesome. Although girls had outing limit till 6:30 pm but I was the sports person and active participants of extracurricular I stayed till 9:00 pm in campus. Everything was excellent such as - debate, sports national level competition, labs practicals, robotics all was held at state level.

Being the deemed university now it is good that faculties can decide how to schedule exams but earlier it was hectic schedule that is two exams in a day. So now it is a good thing. Structure of exam is also satisfactory as it do not make student turned into depression.

Yes there are many faculties who are very educated, very intelligent but the same time there are faculties who are less educated and they exactly don't know what and how to response in front of students. Many faculties have high standard of living ,talking and sharing good things with students but few have very cheap standard.
