Remarks

I have chosen this college because 1st in my rank I, was not getting MAMC which is the best college in Delhi which we get through the NEET exam. So next options that were left for me was LHMC, VMMC, etc and I was a bit confuse between UCMS, LHMC, and VMMC so I talk with many people and I start to rule out my choices I didn't choose VMMC because Islam the subsidized seats are over and second I want DU university tag, then I was left with LHMC and UCMC, so I decided to visit these colleges and I also search on QUORA for reviews which had played a major role in choosing my college, when I visited both the college I was so amazed at the campus of UCMS, which was so huge, so green and also it is also CO-ED college and also through QUORA I came to know it is best for research which is true, I had searched the top rankings of DELHI college on many sites like career 360, etc. This is the best decision I have ever made, the academics are so good here, but the main disadvantage is very far from my home.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have chosen the MBBS because it's my love from 5th standard I have seen the dream I have to become a doctor, here the faculty: student ratio is pretty good. In our class, there are 150 students and as we have 19 subjects in our entire MBBS, so in each field, there is one HOD, 4-5 associate professors, 5-6 Senior residents, and around 10-12 PG students, so the ratio is pretty good. Qualification of faculty is no doubt is very good and the review teaching method I can say is not up to mark. We have professional exams at the end of our year and have semester exams in 6 months and before professional exams, we have send-up exams. And really it's difficult to crack them as passing criteria is 50% and the person who tops secure maximum of 80%.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

In MBBS, there is one year compulsory internship, for which we get stipend which is around 23,000 per month. We have to do internship in our hospital which is associated with our college. Hospital associated with our college is GTB hospital in East delhi.

Placement Experience

3.5

As we are MBBS students, we don't place. Our course is of 5.5 years, after 4.5 years we came in internship and in an internship, we get the stipend which is different for every college, we get around 23,000 per month. And after this usually, students prepare for another national exam For PG. And once they clear that exam then they get a stipend. So basically there is no scene of being places. We prepare for PG, and once we get our dream branch er start to pursue them.

Fees and Financial Aid

Here, the fee structure is quite good affordable. We have to pay at the starting of our year, around 7000 and before exams have to pay the examination fee which is also around 2000-3000. So I am well satisfied with the fee structure as it is quite reasonable. I don't think there are opportunities for scholarships etc in our college as the fee is affordable. And I have more got any scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Besides academics, other curricular activities are too good at this college. In our college we have societies, like artifact for art, plexus for music, we have around 8-9 society in our college for other activities like dance, art, poetry, etc. I myself part of artifact society. Every year, our college organizes one fest that is called RIPPLE in the month of March. And society takes party in different colleges it's too fun to be part of this society. In the library, the books are available even the latest edition is also available but yes the availability of the latest edition is few. In our college, we have one fest for sports also which occur in the month of July. And then after this, we get the prizes which are really worthful. In our college, all these activities are run by OUR UNION this is the name of the group who lead this, proper voting was done to choose the member of this group.

Hostel Facilities

4

We have given one single room in our hostel, in which they have provided one bed, one study table, one chair, and a fan and tube light, and on one floor around 25 rooms are there. And have 4 sets of the washroom. Which is shared by 25 girls. Daily the sweeper came. Meal quality is good, we have been provided the food three times- morning (8-9), lunch(1-2 pm), and dinner(8-9). And on an everyday meal is different which gets repeated on every weak, and can do some changes. Among us, we choose one representative who chooses the menu for 1 week and on one day we get special like South Indian food or chole bhature, but we don't get anything on Saturday night. We have to apply for one form for a room in a hostel, all those who are outside definitely getting the hostel and those who are in Delhi on the basis of distance get the hostel, usually, there is no problem in getting the hostel, at the end of one year everyone gets the hostel.

Interview Experience

4

All students who are preparing for MBBS have to give one central exam that is NEET. This exam is given once in year and students who passed the 12th exam are allowed to give this exam and they should have taken BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS, In there 11-12 class. Usually students even myself have taken the coaching, for this exam. I have taken a drop and after 12th I prepared for this exam for one year and then given the exam next year, there I got the rank and on that basis, I get the college. Admission is solely dependent on the NEET rank, there is no interview at the time of admission. In college before admission, only a medical test is done for assessing the fitness of the individuals

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum is mostly standard, but its relevance is super high because of the massive patient load at SJH. That clinical exposure is the key thing that prepares you for both real life and NEET PG later—that’s why I chose VMMC. Improvements? We need less lecturing and more interactive case discussions and maybe more emphasis on research. Exams are non-stop, seriously! We have internals/semester exams every 3-4 months. They are tough (50% passing), but they force you to study well for the final big Proffs. It’s tiring, but it works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Curriculum of mbbs is very comprehensive and makes you capable of handling medical emergencies, and not miss out on diagnosing critical cases. With the new CBME curriculum by nmc in place, additional focus is also given on the AETCOM (attitude, ethics and communication) module which is aimed at improving the quality of healthcare professionals produced by this country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate
