Ashish Bhattarai's Review On Ambedkar DSEU, New Delhi

I chose it because it is a government institution and have fees(35000 p.a)much lesser than other GGSIPU colleges. And it is considered to be ranked in the top 10 colleges of Delhi for the course I'm pursuing which is BCA. The admissions are done on the rank to achieve by giving the entrance examination with atleast 60% marks scored in your 12th boards. The institution has a good reputation but the infrastructure is not that good as compared to other GGSIPU colleges and the lecturers are not so co-operative. This college is mainly for polytechnic students, so the crowd and environment is not that of a college. You have to wear a dress for the whole 3 years. If you want to pursue any polytechnic course then you should get admission to this college but it's not up to the mark for BCA students as the teachers are not that good but if you want to take admission in a government college with fewer fees you can opt for BCA too from this college.

Faculty members are not that good. Most of them are not co-operative. They want to dominate the students all the time. Most of them don't even hold a PhD degree. There are very few lecturers in this college and one lecturer teaches 3 subjects atleast. The teaching method is also not that good. They just teach you to the point only using a book. Examinations were not that hard but because of not getting taught properly few of the batch mates got backlogs in some subjects.

There are some not so big companies that do visit our college campus. Mostly Tech Mahindra is the one that selects students. Tata motors also visit our campus and the rest are just small startup companies. The highest package given is 3.5 lacs only till now. Around 30-40% of students actually get placements. If you want to pursue BCA or are pursuing BCA you should go for MCA too if you want a good package.

There is not any kind of scholarship for the UR students. The fee structure is neither costly nor cheap. You have to pay 1,10,000 for 3 years. 40,000 for the first year and 35000 for the next two years. Job opportunities are not that good. The stipend offered in the campus selection is lower than a BCA student should get.

Anoogunj is conducted every year on the main campus of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in the month of February mostly where you can participate in some kind of events and activities. A sports day is also conducted on the main campus only. There are not many social groups, clubs, websites or anything run by the students on the college campus because the faculty don't allow students to make such groups and do some extracurricular activities they just want the students to learn from books and give exams. And no fest or anything is conducted in the college campus. It is only conducted in the main campus.
