BPIT , a good college for average students

Bhagwan Parshuram institute of technology is a college affiliated to GGSIPU Delhi. Admission is done by university-based on ranks scored in JEE entrance examinations. The college is located in the Rohini region and is well connected by the metro and DTC. Placements are quite good as compared to other colleges. The college has a 4-floor building and a football ground( but not of proper dimensions).

I am doing Btech( CSE) from this college. Computer Science receives maximum placement from college. There are 2 sections both consisting of 60 students each. All the faculty members are very much qualified and a few are also doing Ph.D. in their respective fields. Various technical and coding societies like IEEE are also present and organizes events and hackathons every year. A good environment for coding is available. Seniors and teachers are ready to help if you want to learn sometimes. A robotics lab was also started a few months ago. Computer labs are well equipped. The curriculum is decided by the university itself which includes basic subjects of engineering but few special classes are also held by the college in the 3rd and 4th year to help students in placements. CSE dept has a good placement record.

Placements are started in the 4th year. Preparation for the same is started from the 3rd year itself. Placement records are getting better every year. This year 5 students have already bagged a 30 lac package from AWS. Various companies visit the campus for Placements. Most probably R&D companies will be visiting soon. Most of the students get placed but packages vary for all. The average package is around 4 lac for CSE. Placement percentage varies for all, maximum for CSE then IT then ECE, and last EEE. Rest it also depends on coding skills or core knowledge of the individual. Coding classes are also held for students to get good Placement.

Various scholarships from universities and the Delhi government are provided to students on basis of their marks and financial conditions. The fee is around 1.15 lac per year which is to be paid in 1 installment on yearly basis. If the student is having financial problems they can discuss it with the dean and relaxation may be provided to them to some extent. Scholarships provide by universities are pretty good but only students with financial problems and less annual income can apply for them.

Various technical and nontechnical clubs are present in college. The annual tech fest is CORONA BPIT( they might change its name after the pandemic). It is held in the month of March and includes both tech and cultural events and ends with a star night( last time Sukhi and last to last year fazilpuria was invited). College also has a literature fest Eloquence held in the month of October by literature society KALAM. BBA dept also organizes its fest VIBE in the same month. Various cultural societies of college are: Avaran: dramatics society Mavericks: dance society Kalam: literature society Beliyan: folk dance society Cromavita: arts society Octave: music society All the clubs have built their name in the Delhi circuit. Avaran, Mavericks are the most active societies of the college. Many coding and developer societies like IEEE are also present in college. The campus size is a little less but has a ground for sports. The library is air-conditioned and subject related books are present
