J. Alchem's Review On Gitarattan International Business School- [GIBS], New Delhi

I took CET conducted by IP University. It involved score and interview (now interview is no longer a cretarion). I got 2066 rank and as I was OD (Outside Delhi) general candidate I was having limited option to choose from. Many good colleges fall under IP university but as seats are reserved for Delhi candidates and then SC/ST, it is typical for a general candidate to get a good college.

Course curriculum was good, I learned a lot from the course. It is designed by IP university's main campus and it really gives a deep sight into business world. Library too assist you up to a good extent but good books are missing in library it is like they bought books without considering good insightful authors.

They don't provide internship, nor they are able to provide internship to their own students in outside organization. Few Insurance selling companies come who at last ask you to sell insurance neglecting what you have done in MBA whether International business or Finance.

Placement is really bad. No good company visits the college to hire. Their brochure and website shows good companies, but reality is different. May be those companies visited when the college was established. The placement sucks a lot when you do MBA in Finance and IB and company comes to hire you as a salesman and that too with 12k-15k per month basis.

Many seminar was conducted at the college and a few workshop too but most of them were totally boring. They did not have skills to bind the audience, may be speakers were not that good. Auditorium is also not good, seating arrangement should have been like a theater but it is like you are in a class. Mic is not working, projector is not working, students are forced to sit in auditorium.

Fee structure can be labelled as a strong point. Fee is not high of this college. It really make makes MBA in your budget because it is regulated by IP University. If fee is your concern, it is a good college. But if you want a good career, you must reconsider your decision.

No, I have not came across any such students who got any scholarship or loan facility by college. They are busy people, nor they assist in any process.

Campus life is not up to the mark. Actually no campus life at all. cafeteria has no good food. No playground to sit or play. Even it is hard to organize a good cultural fest as space is too limited. Gender ratio is good, so the diversity. There is no race or religion issue at the campus.

Exam structure is good as it is designed by IP university itself. Though, it is hectic too because every now and then exams are on head. Internal, external. Exams are always at odd times like exams are going on and festivals are also there. Internal exams are sometimes favoritism basis. Be a teacher pet.

First I gave test, then got interviewed and then I was called for the counselling. In counselling it looked like the best option so I opted this one. I thought they provide MBA in International Business as major because of their name "Gitarattan International Business School" but sadly they had it as a minor only.

Many of the teachers were not up to the mark. Teachers were not able to add values in the students. Teaching is an art, a good teacher is one who teaches you in a way that it directly goes into your head. I did not find such an art in most of their teachers. They were old brained teachers having no interesting way to teach. Most of them were not having good qualifications and experience.
