Remarks

BJGMC Pune is a renowned college. The college gives you all-round development,i.e academics, clinics, research facilities, culture, sports. Everything is here. College premises are also good. No, any ragging scenes happen here. And any student from corners of the country is welcomed here. And everybody gets treated equally. The hostels of the college are just awesome! A very clean, calm, healthy atmosphere full of greenery. You will forget you live in the center of Pune city. As the college and hostel area is in the center of the city, all types of transportation available. About the cons, the college administration is somewhat slow. And some strict. The admission process runs according to the university schedule and through cap rounds. As it is a govt college, no donations are allowed or accepted. I heard about this college from senior doctors who studied at this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My goal was to become a good doctor. And through suggestions of senior doctors, I choose this college. About faculty: student ratio, it's pretty good and maintained. They are there to help us anytime. As it's a senior college, we do most of the things on our own. All faculties here, are good at their subjects rather specialized. Many of them are medalists of their universities. And the teaching methods depend on each teacher. But both old and new methods are used. They use the methods which students actually want.Term exams are according to year example in 1st year, 1term exam and 1 prelim are there. And then the final university exam. It differs from year to year. In the 2nd year, 2 term exams, 1 prelim, and a final university exam. Like this. Passing is for 50%. And not for 35%

Internships Opportunities

4

In Med school or medical colleges, you have to do an internship in the same college only after your final year of college. You will get a lot of basic clinical experience during an internship in various branches. The stipend is around 11k-15k per month. And it's provided by govt.

Placement Experience

3.5

Actually, it's not an engineering or commerce college, it's a medical college. So after the final year, students prepare for PG entrance. They get selected in various branches and do specialization in it. And later they start working in a govt hospital or private hospital or may open their own clinics/hospital. But it's sure that in private you will get preference if you tell you are a student of BJGMC Pune. My plan after my degree is the same do specialization and work in a hospital or make my own

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is according to govt rules. And changes every year. But it's in some thousands only. Not beyond lakhs. You will get the fee structure during each year's cap rounds. All types of scholarships are available. You have to just select according to the criteria in which you fit in. And apply for it. And the student section is very helpful about it. They tell you all the necessary things from time to time. Regarding Stipend, you will get it during your internship, PG years. No stipend for UG curriculum

Campus Life

4

The campus is pretty good. Not too big and not too small. About social life, it's awesome. Extracurricular activities are great here. Plays, dance clubs, Sports Club, singing club, drama, etc all are there. You can participate in any event you want.

Hostel Facilities

4

All basic facilities are provided, lights water, beds cupboard, etc. Hot water facilities are there. The meal quality is nice. It provides all-round nutrition. 2 times non-veg in a week and 1-time egg. Veg and nonveg foods are available. Registration for the hostel has to be done at the time of admission only. No separate process. The hostel is at 2 minutes distance from the college. It's very clean, calm and healthy. Separate reading room cum library is there in hostel.
