Remarks

The college is quite average if compared with other top-notch B.Tech colleges of Delhi. However, within GGSIPU, the university having 100+ colleges for B.Tech, the college stands high. The college has a 9-acre campus, which is adequate enough for classrooms, labs, and workshops. The college is AICTE approved, ISO certified, and NAAC graded. Admission is done on the merit of all India scores of JEE mains. However, those not fulfilling the criteria could apply through management quota. Admission generally starts in the month of July via the central portal of GGSIPU, from which the college holds its affiliation. The major cons of the college include its locality. Since the locality nearby is residential, thus there are no spots available for outings. However, one could easily reach nearby metro station Kashmere Gate within 20 minutes from where outing hotspots aren't much far. The college library has all-time available wifi. Labs can also be used with wifi for project works.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

In this era of professionalism, pursuing some professional degree and getting a decent job is the primary priority for the majority of the students. The college provides quite a decent placement to its students pursuing B.Tech, majorly from CSE, IT, and ECE. Also, the syllabi and curriculum are upto the mark as per AICTE norms, thus making students prepared for various competitive exams as well. Faculties are well qualified so as to make the students understand the gist of their subject. Many of them are qualified from IITs, NITs, and other prestigious institutions. Almost every year, the university topper comes from the college which shows the dedication of the faculties as well. They promote research and development work as well.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement season generally starts from the 7th semester of B.Tech students. Around 50-60% of students get the placements. There are around 40-55 companies visiting the campus. Generally, mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Newgen, Daffodil, etc. come every year for placements. The package ranges from 3.5-5.5 LPA. Infosys took 174 students at 3.5 LPA in 2019. However, companies like Amazon, Samsung R&D, Extramarks also come for placements selecting the top bunch and offering 12-19 LPA. This year, Amazon recruited 7 students each with a package of 19 LPA. If one is from CSE or IT, he/she stands higher chances of grabbing a placement than others.

Fees and Financial Aid

'Value for money' is a well-suited title for the college. Annual fees are Rs 1,10,800 which is quite satisfactory with respect to a private college that too in Delhi. The fee hike is generally not done before 4-5 years, that too isn't done without the approval by the government and university constituted committee. For those searching for a scholarship, the Delhi government's merit cum means scholarship is available. Fee amount ranging from 1/4th to complete fee is waived off according to the financial conditions. A separate financial scheme by the university is also available, where an amount upto Rs 50000 can be availed. Placements are decent enough. There are high chances of getting a good package if from CSE and IT. There aren't any paid internships available. However, industrial training workshops, visits, and seminars are regularly conducted.

Campus Life

4.5

The college contains a whole lot of societies and clubs. Societies like Quintessence, Avant-garde, Alfaaz-society of poets, IEEE, Dancing society, etc. always make one enthusiastic to participate in extracurricular activities. The college library is well comprised of all the syllabi books, where NPTEL lectures can also be accessed. Books are available free of cost for 15 days with a capping of 2 books once. However, books for the whole year(2 semesters) can be issued for Rs 1500. Sports like Badminton, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, etc are given much priority and sports meet is organized every year. Sports icons like PV Sindhu and Carolina Marin have visited and felicitated the emerging players of the college in the past few years. The college holds its annual cultural fest INNOVIZ every year in February, which continues for 3 days. Celebrities like Milind Gaba, Maninder Buttar have performed in the same. Technical fests are also organized.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
