Remarks

Though there are minor instances of mismanagement been observed, however, they didn't reflect the overall rating of this B-School as compared to other B-Schools in India.

Entrance Preview

GMAT examination Scored 710. The prestigious Brand Name of IIMC does matter when it comes to placement and also inside the industry.

Course Curriculum Overview

Electives were Finance as Major and Marketing as Minor. The course curriculum were up to the mark. Faculties were very co-operative and highly experienced in their fields

Internships Opportunities

I didn't opt for internship due to certain reasons on my personal front. The average stipend offered at that time was around 50k/month which wasn't lucrative at per market rates too.

Placement Experience

All of the candidates inside the batch were placed. Companies that came to campus were IBM, KPMG, Nestle, L&TMedian salary that they offered were 10. 5 Lakhs

College Events

Lot of seminers from the area of management used to held during the tenure. Cultural events were also organized to a broad level and students were encouraged to participate on them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure at that market was really expensive. However, it was competitive as compared to other IIMsAnd, easy loans were available from leading banks.

Scholarships were available but was not applicable to the opted course. However, easy loans were available from leading banks

Campus Life

The campus life was mesmerizing and the experience was amazing too. Extracurricular activities were plenty including indoor and outdoor games. Seminar and debates are often organized with multiple topics including robotics.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms were very spacious along with a small balcony. They were cleaned everyday. Wi-fi facilities were introduced throughout the campus and it was completely free of cost.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

A must have experience to all who are able to have a chance on this prestigious B-School. The alumni network is very strong and is extremely active. Keeping in touch with the alumni is extremely beneficial during the entire career path.

Exam Structure

There were periodic set of reviews being conducted through exams. However, they were not of hectic type. Lab sessions are inapplicable to our course

Placement Experience:

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

Placement Experience:

Placement is a race here. Handfull of good companies with good roles will come but they take good chunk of students. So be prepare for that and don't worry about getting good companies, here many companies offers better packages than those good companies.

Placements are good sometimes but not exactly sure because some batches are not placed somes are placed or somes are not then they trying to get placement for own if i talk about the percentage of placement then i would say 60% not 100%,for 3rd semester students are eligible for placement & one terms is here that is 75% attendance is mandatory for getting placement, i have visited 3-4 companies & they offer 3.7-4 lpa package,my plan after getting the degree, firstly i looking for a company around 4-5lpa package then i started to develop my self

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Placement Experience:

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

Last semester students become eligible for campus placements. Name of the companies visited - TCS, WIPRO, MICROSOFT, TATA, IBM , AMAZON etc. 51,00,000/yr highest package and average package 5,50,000 as per company and profiles offered. 97% students are getting placements. My plans start a business after getting the degree.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from the fifth term. 300+ companies visit the campus to recruit 500 students. The highest package is 70LPA and the Average package is 20LPA. 100% placements. after getting the degree students will join the recruited companies.

The eligibility for this course is having a bachelor's degree with minimum of 55% of marks and then the cut off for CAT exam varies from student to student. They calculate the composite scores for every student considering different factors like academic background, work experience, gender diversity, past academics, etc. I would recommend that the institute should have a fair shortlisting criteria which should be disclosed to everyone because I saw people topping the CAT exam still not getting calls from institute because of their strict criteria especially for general engineer male....Read More

Enrolling at IIM Kolkata was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I enrolled in an MBA at IIM Kolkata due to my strong interest in the subject.
