Remarks
I got admission into the college by the end of July 2019. A major benefit of getting this college is that we won't have any burden of an education loan after passing out from the college. The college campus now very large and full of greenery. The college canteen and cafeteria where the students get together during their break time invoke a sense of nostalgic feeling. We don't have a burden of a hectic schedule like other MBA colleges. It's both a boon and a course, Boon for someone who is willing to utilize the time to upgrade one's skill set and be ready for corporate life after the college. A course for someone who opts not to. While selecting this college I had consulted with one of my teachers at the coaching institute where I had my CAT coaching. He himself being an Alumni of IIFT suggested that given my CAT score this was the best possible option available for me as far as MBA institutes are concerned. So here I am doing my MBA at this lovely institute.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is not at all tight. The faculties are very cordial and are willing to help those who seek their support. They are highly qualified as we do have faculties who did an MBA from prestigious institutes like iim and iift. Exams were not that tough and you will get the pass mark quite easily. It's all about how you want to shape your career in this institute.
Internships Opportunities
Internships were offered under various domains including sales, marketing, finance and operations. There were students who got chances to work in various companies as Kora management, Oyo, No Broker etc. The projects depended upon the internship you choose. They were of diverse background and portfolios.
Placement Experience
From semester 3 onwards students become eligible for the placement process. The prominent recruiters include Citi bank, ICICI bank Relaxo etc. So far half of the batch has been placed and the other half is expected to get placed in the next three months as a lot of opportunities are lined up. The highest package goes to around 18lpa and the average is 9.5lpa. I am aspiring to become an entrepreneur and start my own venture after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is the best you can get in the market. It's only a hike of 2000 rupees from the previous year. I did my internship at No Broker. It was a paid one with a stipend of Rs 15k. As far as the affordability is concerned, the average lpa during our final placements comes around 9 lacs With the fee as mentioned we have the best ROI.
Campus Life
The life at DOC is entirely student-driven. We have two annual. Syposia which is held at our college One is Rethink and other is Erudition. Rethink is held during October and Erudition during December. During this COVId times, the college was able to conduct Tedx also. We have clubs like finance clubs International Business clubs Sports club etc. The Ratan Tata Library in the campus is a repository of all kinds of books which gives an additional boost as a student.
Interview Experience
My topic for GDPI was a uniform civil code. The interview process was mostly concentrated around my work experience which was in the Banking sector. There was an extempore speech to make at the beginning of the interview. It was followed up by a self-introduction and normal questions afterwards.
