SCMHRD Pune has been ranked 5th Best Private B School in India by IIRF and has risen from 24th to 19th position overall in Business Today Rankings. The highest package offered in placements is 32.2 LPA (Domestic) and 58.0 LPA (International). The average package offered is 16.1 LPA and Median is 15 LPA. More details can be found on scmhrd.edu. The admission process includes SNAP admission test and then comprehensive GEPIWAT (Group Exercise Personal Interview and Written Aptitude Test) for shortlisted students based on percentile. SCMHRD Pune is one of the best options. I chose this because the batch strength is fair and not very high, which makes placements less competitive. Also, the ranking of the college has consistently been moving upwards.

I chose Business Analytics because I have work experience in a similar field. I love numbers and problem-solving. The course is rich in building coding skills and a deep understanding of statistics, machine learning, DBMS. Also, in this course, we get an exposure to the normal business domains like HR, Marketing, Finance and Operations. This makes it a perfect amalgamation of the development of managerial and technical skills. Most of the faculty are very qualified with a PhD or Masters. Visiting faculty quality is also high because of the vast experience they bring for the students. Exams were a challenge to be conducted in the Covid scenario. However, it was well managed and setup. Mostly in all the subjects, questions based on the topics discussed in class were asked. So, if paid attention in class, passing is easy.

Haven't yet started with Internship which happens after the second semester. Several companies in Analytics, Operations, ITES, Consulting, Marketing, HR, Finance etc are included. The return on investment for the course is pretty good. It costs around 16 lakhs for 2 years including hostel and mess fees. The average placement package is 16 also, making it nullify the cost. Even the summer placement and live project opportunities are there in abundance as well, throughout the length of 2 years.

I haven't yet joined the campus but there is no dearth of activities in the college. There are 14 committees. Corporate Relations, Alumni Relations, Neev, Cultural Committee, Admissions and PR, Media and PR, Sports committee, Guest lecture team, Analytics Club, Management Committee, Supply Chain and Operations Committee, Infrastructure Committee, Samatva (Social Responsibility Cell) and ECON (Entrepreneur Cell). All these committees are very active and organized number of activities, tournaments, guest lectures, competitions etc. Even a whole semester online, there has never been a dull moment. MS Teams has been subscribed by the college, which makes it easy for submitting assignments, recording of lectures etc. The annual cultural and technical fest is Neev, which is a combination of cultural competitions and case study competitions, followed by a Star Night. It's known to be one of the biggest fests in the country and there is an entire committee dedicated for it.

In the admission process, SCMHRD Pune has been ranked at no. 1 in the country. WAT consisted of a technical round based on coding algorithms and mathematics. There was also an essay writing on a subjective topic and a paragraph writing on an abstract picture. In GE, there were 2 topics. Both for 20 minutes each. One was just a case discussion about Sexual Harassment of Women in the workplace and the other revolved around creating a story from some news headlines which was given. Personal Interview was all about work experience.
