Read, Comprehend and Choose

I appeared for MAT in the year 2019 and had scored 82%. I had chosen this college as I heard from my senior about the good placement. The procedure of taking admission was a bit long as I had to appear for a written test and then for a GD and then for a PI. It took almost 15-16 days to get selected. But I think it is worth it as that reflects on students' patience along with the college's goodwill. I would like to mention the good sides of this college first. The college campus is very good. The members are very helpful. It trains students in a particular and that helps in grooming. The library is extremely good. Faculty members are friendly and helpful. They care for individual students which are rare. I don't any bad aspect worth mentioning.

I have chosen the course as I was always inclined to the profession of Human Resource. All the professors who we have are holding doctorate degrees and have international exposure. All of them have a great educational background with immense industrial experience. They are also into an international journal on a regular basis. If I review the teaching method, I would like to mention that I am a slow learner. When I was dicey in classes to ask questions which might seem silly to others, I was called to sit in the first row so that I could be given undivided attention. The teachers do not sit in one place. They roam around the whole class to keep an eye on all. Exams happen at exact times and whatever are done and taught in the classes, the questions come based on them. The questions, I find analytical and we can't puke whatever we have read. Everything we have to think upon while submitting answers. That has been helping us in having decision making and growing analytical skills.

The companies that come for an internship like Britannia, Abacus Group, Nestle, K'loggs etc. We also get to take part in Live internships for 2-3 weeks where we get to have industry experience. We also make projects on trending topics.

From the 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placements. There are bountiful companies which come like HDFC, Standard Chartered, Burger, AsianPaints, Haldia Petroleums, ITC, Britannia, Emami, Hindustan Unilever etc. Unless a student is placed, they will be getting chances to sit for the job. The highest package is 11 lacs PA. The average is 6.5 lacs PA. 100% of students get placed. I shall go for campus placement after the degree.

The fees for my year is 4,95,000. If a student wants to take financial assistance in terms of the loan, the college is always there to help with that. Always, the college offers paid internships sometimes. Campus jobs are going to start from February this year, for our batch. A student will get unlimited chances unless they are placed.

There happens a freshers' programme every year which is conducted lavishly. There are ample amount of books and journals in libraries. There are two libraries in two campuses. Students can avail from any of them. The classrooms have all the facilities starting from air condition to the projector. Sports also happen annually. Many sports program schedule is circulated in every year for participation and they go for competition with different colleges. They win prizes. There is a college website where many social programs happen. Especially dance and music. There is a college journal which comes out with students' publications.

Yes, I had GD, PI and Test. The GD topic for me was Demonetization. PI was all about the personal questions. Introduction, Why did you leave the last job, what is the expectation from this college, If you are a business head of a company that is running on loss, how will you make it come back in the market, if you were the prime minister, what changes would have brought in the industries etc. The test was of 5 subjects and everything was MCQ. These 3 rounds had been done when I took admission. I talked to seniors and also googled some questions for interviews. But to be honest, I answered impromptu as I did not get much time to prepare myself.
