BPIT, a developing college

College is well connected with metro and roadways. It is one of the good engineering colleges of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Placement is getting better year by year. Admission is done through JEE Mains ranks. The college has ground in premises. All labs are available and both technical and non-technical societies are also present. Admissions will be done after the declaration of results of JEE Mains. Allotment will be based on the preference of college and course selected by the student during choice filling on the GGSIPU website for admissions. Generally, there are 3 rounds followed by sliding round and offline spot filling round in last. Cutoff for various programs keeps changing every year, check previous year cutoff available on various sites.

My department is Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). The CSE department accounts for the highest packages offered every year. The student to teacher ratio is 60:1. There are 180 seats for CSE in 2020 batch but can change next year as for 2019 batch it was 120. Faculty is well qualified and few are also pursuing their PhD in their respective fields. The syllabus is decided by GGSIPU University and includes all mandatory subjects for COMPUTER SCIENCE engineering. Computer science is the most demanding course in the present time and also the future is all about cyberspace so CSE is a safe field.

Placement cell is giving better performance every year. Various companies for all the courses visit the campus every year. College starts placement activities in the 7th semester and preparation begin as soon as 6th semester. Recently Amazon web service offered 30 lac packages to 5 students but keep in mind that placement packages depend on skills acquired by students for which you will have to do courses from outside institutes. Average for CSE is around 3-4 lac but is getting better. CSE has better placement record as compared to other departments. College also conducts classes to help students in placement.

Fees for the course is about 1.15 lac annually, it is to be paid in one instalment. Various scholarships are offered by guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and also Delhi government every year both merit-based and financial status based. The fee hike is decided by University and is applicable for all colleges within University. College is a run by Bhartiya Bhraman charitable trust and college also support people from weaker section of society.

The annual technical fest of college is held in the month of March, earlier it was named CORONA (irony) but it will be changed after the pandemic. Annual technical fest contains various non-tech competitions also organized by cultural societies of the college. Eloquence is a literature fest organized by Kalam literature society of the college. The vibe is a Diwali fest organized by the school of business administration. The college has various societies like Avaran: dramatics, Mavericks: dance, Kalam: literature, Cromavita: arts, Octave: music, Beliya: folk dance. All the societies are performing quite well on the university level and other competitions. College also has sports teams like football, basketball volleyball and cricket. College also has an NSS wing. College library is well equipped and also air-conditioned. College also has a ground, basketball court and volleyball court.
