Main points: Reputation of the Director Sir of the college. Promising Academic Rigour, Nearness to my city, Campus. International Rankings earned within the short period. I decided to join this college over others as it has come a long way in a very short time owing to the reputation of the director of the college Dr Janat Shah. A professor from IIM Ahmedabad suggested me to choose this one over others as it also promises academic rigour, and there were many faculties in the college coming from the oldest members of the IIM family.

The course chosen is its two-year flagship program, Management in Business Administration. It promises a great future career in the business world and hence was the main reason to choose the program. The ratio stands at about 10:1. All the faculties are doctorates in their respective fields and many esteemed faculties teach here on visiting basic coming from IIM Ahmedabad and Banglore and other older members. There are 6 terms and each term takes about 2.5 months. There are two exams held every term, mid and finals. Apart from, there are several assignment submissions and quizzes which are also part of the grading system.

Summer Internship is an academic requirement at the college, hence the college takes full responsibility of placing each and every student. Owing to Covid, the process has slowed down but companies are coming for interns on regular basis. Internships are mainly project-based in various domains like Finance, Business Development, Analytics, Market Research, Marketing, HR, and etc.

There are a placement committee and the placements office which takes care of the entire placement process. Summer Internship is an academic requirement so every student is placed where shortlisting is based on CV review. The experienced candidates may take time to get placed for summers, but freshers with good academics find it relatively easy. Nevertheless, all students get placed for summers eventually. For final placements, up to this date (middle of 5th Term for them), around 80% of the Year-2 students are already placed which is a very healthy sign even in the covid period.

Fees hike policy is as per the inflation rates. Since the college as its own campus, which is projected to be the largest out of all IIMs, so the fees is in par with other older IIMs, 10% lesser than the oldest ones. Scholarship and Financial Assistance are provided for the eligible ones through the right process. Summer Internship process usually begins at the beginning of Term-2 and a plethora of companies visit the campus coming from different domains from Finance, Marketing, Consulting, Analytics, and etc.

There are more than 20 clubs and committees which cover all necessary learning domains. Apart from that, there are administrative committees taking care of usual functions since we have a student-run campus. The library as a huge database of various books, journals and other relevant materials and the number is above 5 lakhs (I believe). Sports and Extra-curricular facilities are well-equipped with Table Tennis, Basketball Court, Football, Gymnasium and etc. There is an Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter page of every club which is handled by the students where regular updates about our college are posted.
