Remarks
The college is good overall. The curriculum is well designed and useful. The admission process is through CAT only. The cut-Off for General category goes around 96+ percentile. One can prefer this college given the options available to them. Among all the IITs offering MBA, IIT Bombay (SJMSOM) comes first, and DMS, IITD is on par with IIT, Kharagpur (VGSOM). NIRF Rankings of DMS, IITD have been good for the last few years. The official website of DMS, IIT Delhi and the official social media handles of DMS, IIT Delhi are good sources of college-related information. The IIT Delhi website provides all the facilities at IIT Delhi, which are all accessible to DMS, IIT Delhi students as well. One can reach out to the alumni of DMS, IIT on Linkedin and learn from their experiences and make an educated decision about joining the college. The placement cell exists to provide opportunities. Many MBA competitions are open to DMS, IITD students on Dare2Compete and other platforms.
Course Curriculum Overview
Courses available are good. The variety of courses available could be better though. For IT and Operations enthusiasts, lots of options are there. Then comes Finance course and finally, there are a few good MArketing courses as well.
Placement Experience
Final Placements start in Semester 3 and Summer Placements Start in Semester 1. FYI, there are four semesters. Many companies visit DMS. All the required information can be accessed from our official website which has the placement report.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is currently 11 lacs for a two-year full-time MBA. Top three CGPA holders in each semester get a scholarship from IIT, Delhi. Apart from this, there is not much fee waiver opportunity of any other kind.
Campus Life
The annual fest of IITD is Rendezvous and the annual management fest of DMS, IITD is Parivartan. DMS has its own library apart from the IIT Delhi library. Grounds are available for all kinds of sports and there are opportunities to play from the Hostels, where you live, too.
Interview Experience
A Written Ability Test and personal interview were conducted. The cutoff was 98 percentile in CAT for General category. Regular CV based preparation for PI and current affairs based preparation for WAT should be more than enough.
