One of the best college in Gujarat.

College rating is overall 4.5/5. Just one minus point was canteen. But recently just before 4 months I visited just like that and they improved a lot. But still not matching with the institution reputation. They are in process for the same. Hope to see new cafeteria in my ex-campus.

I had appeared for regular state level exams and then GUJCET. There is no special entrance examination to get an admission in this college. This college has the best placement percentage around Gujarat. That was the reason I opt for this college. I had other colleges in option, but my goal was to be in this one particularly.

Course structure is very good. Theoretical and practical course structure is better enough compared to other colleges. They made you true engineers as in the first year, you get to learn about all the engineering fields. So at least you get the basic knowledge for the same.

When I studied, there was no internship. It's been 5 years. I think they might have started. Need to confirm on this.

As I said earlier, placement percentages are the best with compared to other institutes. As companies know the standard of the GCET college. At my time, placement was 80%+. And after that what I have heard from juniors, it got increased year by year.

GCET is also very famous for its events organised through out the calendar year. We celebrated Navratri, and all other religious festivals on time. Also, being engineering institute, they organizes various Tech Fests as well. And they welcome all the students across country to participate. We are at 1st number in singing and music competitions held at various locations.

Fee structure is feasible only. You cannot say it is very expensive because most of the worst institutes even charge higher fees compared to this college. And when we think about the studies, fun, placement, and many more what GCET has to offer, comparison of fee is not in the scenario.

I did not avail any kind of scholarship or loan facility for my admission but I heard that college offers loan to students from poor and really needy background. If they see caliber in you, they make exceptions for you.

Campus life is non forgettable as many of our college life goes. Gender ratio is 60/40 M/F approximately. Extracurricular I already said that they have the most amazing staff for the same. Labs are good enough. Computer labs are just awesome. Sports and competitions are also be held at various occasions. Robotics events are the best after Navratri events. And we own the first price in both the events also.

Hostel facilities are good enough as same as other colleges. It has their own hostel campus, playground, library just in the hostel premises. College distance is just 80 meters from the hostel, so it would be very easy for students to go and come very frequently. Mess food was ok at my time, I am not sure how it is as of now. Hope, it would be good.

Network is very strong. You get to know your seniors and also guide juniors. Get together also being held annually. It is helpful for juniors for future and career guidance and also to senior for other job/business opportunities.

1 internal and 1 external + viva internal/external mix. It's not hectic as in other colleges. Exam structure makes you more attentive to your studies and it was fun at least for me and my group. Internal marks are also calculated in final score. They followed CPI system. It's still the same but now under GTU university.

At that time, this college's counselling was held individually. I had 87% in 12th Science and so I got an admission very easily for all the courses which were offered by GCET. But now, it comes under GTU (at my time it was Sardar Patel University), so it has common procedure as other colleges.

Faculties are very helpful in study perspective and extra curriculum activities as well. They prepare you for national level seminars and participation in related events. Even after 5 years, when I call my old faculties, they help me with the same energy even though I am not their current student.
