Remarks

T.A Pai Management Institute is famous for its rigor, academics, and pedagogy in 2020, it was ranked 18th among top B-schools in India by MBAuniverse. But this is not the sole reason why I chose this college, with both AMBA and AACSB accreditation TAPMI is famous for its best placement records among tier 2 colleges. The bad aspect is TAPMI's management. You may find them stringent but once you get used to them, you will find many ways to deal with them. The admission process generally happens in the month of March. The application forms will get closed in the month of January 25-27. My mentor who taught me Verbal in CAT RCs recommended this college. One unique thing about TAPMI is, it is known for its strong alumni networks and the programs they design to elicit the maximum out of them and serve it to the students. The recent launch of the alumni mentorship program is a welcome move by the management in this pandemic crisis and trust me they are managing this online platform so well.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

PGDM- Marketing and Sales. I have joined this course which is just one batch old but it doesn't seem to be. Faculties and professors have well taught about the demand for professional salespeople in the market and they have tailored this course for students. The student-faculty ratio is 16:1. The faculty at Tapmi are exceptionally good and they are known for their industry experience. The efforts taken to complete the syllabus is creative. Right now, they have even cancelled out mandatory exams and converted them into research projects with an evaluation component. It gives a wholesome practical experience about a subject and as well as theoretical knowledge. The exams are not very tough to crack unless you never touch the book or try some UG gimmicks to pass the exam.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Live project opportunities and Internship Opportunities are abundant in TAPMI even during this corona crisis. I already had two live project opportunities. Companies like Brillio, Collegedunia, ITC, Survey SParrow and so on have visited our campus for internship opportunities. Many of them came with attractive stipends.

Placement Experience

4

The average placement record for Tapmi for the year 2020 is 11.50 lakhs per annum and the topmost salary was 25lpa. Companies like Capgemini, Lenskart, TATA capital and so on have already visited the campus. 102 companies have come to the campus and PGDM-BKFS program average salary was 12.75 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is similar to all top B schools in India. 7.55 lakhs per year I the fees for a PGDM program in Tapmi. The best thing about fees handling by Tapmi is the Dr Ramdas Pai Scholarship. They give fee concession to 0 students per year based on different criteria. The Summer internships are happening now and the national scene is not good because of a pandemic. So the no of students placed is gradually increasing but I have a strong hope that I will be placed.

Campus Life

3

We are the 2020 batch and we have not visited the campus yet. Every festival was converted virtually and to be frank they were not as good as a physical experience. Soon we will go to campus and hopefully, we will enjoy the lush green campus which is known for its beauty.

Interview Experience

4.5

Group discussion - be thorough with Current Affairs topics. My topic in GD was "Can India Attain 5trillion economy in 2024". Group activity - they check your communication ability and creativity. Personal Interview - Just be thorough with the data that you have given in your application. Preparation - Hindu Editorials, Adda app, affairs cloud and lucent for GK. Give mock PIs with your coaching institute.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
