Remarks
We all know that Graduation degree from a government college is always preferred as compared to a private college in any Sector. My primary reason for getting my admission in MITS was that it is a government college and also I'm a locality so it was better for me to get a college in Gwalior itself. To get admission here I got myself enrolled in MP DTE counselling and attended several rounds and finally got chance to pursue B.tech in Information Tech. MITS is said to be one of the Best Three Government College in Madhya Pradesh after excluding IIT's and NIT's. The only disadvantage of getting admission in MITS is the fee. MITS ask for fees almost equal to Private college but doesn't provide you with that good placement. Placement ratio vary between 75% - 80%. But if you are from CSE or IT then your chances of getting placed are high enough. Companies like Amazon, TCS, Wipro and many more visit for Campus Placements.
Course Curriculum Overview
As we all know that the IT Sector is Booming nowadays and it will be the most important sector of employment in the coming times. So I tried my best to Get CSE Branch in MITS but Ended up getting IT which was even better for me as my opportunities widened up. All the faculties were very supportive. They provided every type of study material to us. They taught us in a very delightful manner. Faculties here were very very qualified some of them were PhD holders and many of them were alumni of IIT's too. There were two mid sem and one end sem, but if due to some reason you miss your any one mid sem you can get a chance to give it again during the end sem.
Placement Experience
I'm in the first year so can't predict a lot about the campus placement but It's said to have a placement ratio of about 75-80% in general but for CSE and IT is a lot better. Companies like Amazon, TCS, Infosys and many more come for campus placement and also there are training given to the student to facing interviews before the Campus Placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
This is the only cons of MITS. First of all, it is charging it's course fee almost equal and some times more than Private Engineering colleges fees and above that fee gets revised Annually. So one can't predict what will be the fees for the next academic year. But on a rough average, you need to Pay at-least 1.1 - 1.3 Lakhs per annum. Although if You are from TFW ( Tution fee waiver ) Round Your fees get extremely less to about 80 thousand for 4 years. And there are many scholarships available for Students.
Campus Life
There are mainly these active clubs, i.e. ISTE(Technical), Nukkad Natak Club, Holistic club, Digital Learning Club, Photography Club Music club, Editorial board(for your writing skills), which you could join for some extracurricular activities. The sports facility is average for a day scholar but best for hosteler. You can play football, cricket, basketball, volleyball etc. There are soo many books provided in the library but the only issue is that they aren't arranged ever you would require 3 hours to find a book which you can finish in half HR. Infrastructure is lit, You get big gardens and lush greenery here. I can't tell a lot about campus life as I got myself admitted in 2020 when there were only virtual classes going on.
