Remarks
Best Part; You'll definitely enjoy your college life here. No headache for attendance, great diversity, minimum restrictions are the key points. Bad Part: Infrastructure is not that good. Laboratories are awful so are their instruments. Admission Process: 1) Fill the form online on the official website of the university. 2) Provisional merit list will be generated and then final merit list. 3) Based on the merit list you're supposed to choose the subjects that you want to study. 4) After that seat will be allocated to you and you need to verify your original documents in the university on the given date. 5)Guess what.......you are now a student of our prestigious university.
Course Curriculum Overview
I want to pursue research in physics that's why I choose this degree here. There are some other reasons as well. I don't know about the faculty: student ratio in my university. But the professors here are well qualified, however, you may find this contradictory. The mathematics professors are determined and engaging with the students. We have one mid sem before end sem and they are not that difficult to pass. Trust me when I say this.
Placement Experience
Currently, I'm in 2nd year so I don't know much about placements, but I know that you are eligible for placements after semester 5. I heard some companies do visit our faculty, but I don't know how many students get placed in these companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
I love the fees part. In my first year, I paid 8940rs which is very less as compared to private institutions. In 2nd year, I paid 2670rs due to COVID-19 but I'm not sure. Let's see what would I pay next year. Apart from this low fees, university also provide various scholarships for SC/ST, OBC, meritorious students, etc.
Campus Life
Social life at this university is fantastic, pleasing, and interesting. The university campus is spread across the central Vadodara which is a great place to wander around. There is a museum in a walking distance from the university and the Laxmi villas palace within a few kilometres. There are two libraries in the science faculty. One for 1st & 2nd year and the other one is for 3rd year. The books in the library are very old, at least in my library because I haven't visited the 3rd-year library yet. The classrooms are well designed like a theatre with over 150 students capacity. From 3rd year, classes are conducted on the main campus which has the oldest classrooms. You'll feel like you are in the 19th century. There is a great scope if you want to do something in sports or if you have some interest. I can assure you that the sports facilities are amazing. Sadly, there is no official group in my department not that I know of. However, we formed an unofficial club named Astronomy Club
