Remarks
My primary concern while selecting a college was searching for government colleges in Gwalior. So I searched about MITS Gwalior on the collegedunia website and then filtered out the pros and cons, and came to the conclusion to get myself admitted here. Admission was through the MP DTE Counselling portal. MITS is ranked among the best three colleges in MP after IIT's and NIT's, which attracted me alot towards it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very vast and provides soo much knowledge in the first year itself. Being specific for my branch that is Information Technology, in the first semester I had to study Electrical, Civil Mechanics, Environmental Science, Mechanical, Computer programming, and IT Workshop. Teachers are very very supportive over here and after all, it all depends on what kind of student you are They provide study material from time to time and give a decent amount of practice sheets and questions.
Placement Experience
Placements are said to be between 75-80% by the college although it's not true. I have talked to soo many passes out's about it and they told me that more than 30% of placements were of 2-3 LPA ones which are of no importance these days. But they also told when they applied for the off-campus they got selected very often due to that Government college degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure isn't what you would expect while getting admission to a government-funded college. It's almost equal to private engineering colleges and some time's more than them. Every year the course fees get revised so you actually can't predict what you need to pay next year.
Campus Life
I got myself admitted in the Covid period so can't actually tell you about that alot. Although whenever I went to college for library issue work I always felt nice because of the Greenery presents there. There were many workshops organized for us through online mode and many competitions were also held.
