Remarks
The good aspect is that we can do MBA at a very less price while in other colleges there is a huge investment required to be done and the bad aspect is that the college doesn't have a hostel facility. We have to go for a DU hostel or PG available in the nearby area. But overall the experience is great. The admission process generally starts in the month of January and goes on till March/April. The main reason for preferring this college is the ROI it provides, the DU environment, and the course specialization in International business. I referred my graduation days seniors and my teachers while selecting this college, went through the college website.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is a bit different from general MBA as the specialization starts from the first year itself and we get to study about the international business environment from the very first year. There are 70 students in one batch and every subject is alloted to a different teacher. Every faculty her is well qualified and has specialization in the subject they teach with years of experience in teaching. Exams are not very difficult to pass as the course is taught very well by faculty with timely completion of the syllabus with gives time to go through every point before appearing in exams.
Internships Opportunities
College offer internship opportunity on campus to every student of the first year. Roles offered for summer internship are very diverse like operations, business development, sales, management, accounting, etc. The average stipend offered is around 70000 and the highest is nearly a lakh in domestic and can even rise when offered outside India.
Placement Experience
Placements are good and give a high return if we compare them to the investment made. In second year the student becomes eligible for campus placement. Almost every company that comes and makes an offer takes at least one candidate from the batch. The highest package is around 17lpa and average id 10 lpa, the median is 9.5lpa. Around 95% of the batch gets placed every year according to the trend. My plan after getting the degree is to work with the company that I get placed in and move ahead in life.
Fees and Financial Aid
Cost is very less, the minimum any institute charges for an MBA course. It has been the same i.e 15989 for many years and will remain same according to the trend. Job one gets from campus is at par with many of the colleges with this less fee which makes this college preferable over many of the other colleges in India.
Campus Life
Campus life is good. We can be in college till evening and have access to the Ratan Tata library till 8 p.m. The library has lots of books in every edition and we can have access to any book all the time. Classrooms are in good condition to help students provide an environment of study. Sports are taken care of by Sports cell and likewise there are many cells and committee which take care of different activities of the college from basic guest lecture to organizing business conclave.
Interview Experience
Yes, I went through CAT after which I have to go through GD and then PI to get selected for this college. Questions prepared by me wherewith the guidance from my teachers and seniors of my graduation days which made the process very easy for me to qualify. There is also a weightage of 10th, 12th, and graduation marks which is taken into consideration while the selection process but the major impact is on the CAT percentile and GD/PI. In GD and PI, one has to be updated with the current business world and have knowledge of the background of their graduation field.
