One of the 7 old IIMs, great placements, and good reviews by alums. Beautiful campus called the 'campus in clouds'. Good peer learning opportunity. Good college as per the people I spoke to. Their review encouraged me to take up this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Most teachers are highly helpful and greatly qualified from major universities across the world. The learning is based on case discussion and peer learning model. Post covid, we'll be shifting to the new campus.
Internships Opportunities
A majority of students on campus choose to go into consulting. finance and marketing. However good companies and roles also come for roles in HR and Operations. Brands like ABG, Google, ITC, DE Shaw, Nomura and etc.
Placement Experience
The highest package is 48.5 lpa for final placements and 3 lpa for summer placements. there is 100% placements and we have many big names on campus like Goldman sachs, Nomura, ITC, Google, Amazon, ABG, Delloite.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is comparable to colleges comparable to IIM Shillong. Financial aid is provided to students who have the need for it. the amount for this aid is based on the need of the student. Thus there is no cap on the number of students who receive it or the amount they receive.
Campus Life
Till now the batch is not on campus so we can only comment on the facilities provided online. We have a free subscription to Grammarly and the extensive library of IIM Shillong. The college has done a good job in imparting amenities.
Interview Experience
The PI round was conducted and marked for the Covidien batch. However, under normal circumstances, IIM Shillong marks students on a GD and PI round collectively. The preparation included a run-through of General awareness and my graduate courses.
