So, Hello I'm Sayan Ganguly now currently studing in this college in B.Sc Microbiology Hons. Let's come to the main point why I choose this college - First of all, I live in Serampore which is 30 km apart from Kolkata and also 30 km apart from Kalyani. I got 91.5% in H.S but couldn't getting any good college. (means very good according to my score and percentage) I applied to Scottish Church college but my rank was about 600 in that college merit list so I given up all hope to get best college. At that time I got this collge and for the timing I opted this college. But after that I felt something different when I permenantly opted this college as a college student. Because- 1) The college faculty is great and very much supportive. 2) If u r doing graduation in general line son minimum for Bsc or BA OR BCOM is not very much matters that from which college u are but at the time of doing masters it definitely matters:) 3) College rating is also not bad. It is given A+ grade by NAAC.

1) Practical room is very good. 2) Faculty is too much supportive. 3) There are total 5 teachers in our dept. 4) Total student number is 54. 5) I have a great interest in Microbiology and Biotechnology so for that reason I opted this course.

Unfortunately in our college moreover in general line colleges there are no direct on campus placements. But, as I'm doing my B.Sc in Microbiology so after completing this course there is very few jobs and the pay scale will be very low so I have to do a Msc for better and greater opportunities.

Actually. in this college there is no directly on campus placement this is a bitter truth. scholarships are many there like - 1) Swami Vivekananda Scholarship 2) sc, st scholarship is quite famous among these catagory.

According to the course the college is quite good according to me. Campus area is OK not too much appreciable. But most interestingly I liked the faculty and also the environment of this college. Here is no politics and other useless stuffs.

Placement Experience:

After completing the 5th Semester the student are eligible for placement but the student should have 7.5 CGPA and a good attendence for the palcement after this oncampus placement like TCS, wipro, accenture etc come for placement with a native package of around 6-8 LPA. Which is goood . Nearly as per report around 80% of studentt gets placed every year . After i complete this course i have decide to go master degree in data science which will be benificial for me for international company.

Pros and cons

Placement Experience:

Placement or internship depends on the course Duration . Overall placement is good . The highest package is 1cr/ yr. And the average package 2to3 lakh/ yr. After getting the bsc. degree in Forensic science, I want to prepare for compitive exam or prepare for higher studies.

Remarks:

Pros:The teachers very very helpful and friendly. Loans and scholarships available. Faculties are highly qualified. Infrastructure is awesome. Cons: no placement. No stipends There wasn’t any hostel facility. Canteen could be developed.

Firstly, the college was near to me as compared to other colleges. The infrastructure was also good and well maintained.
