Remarks
The college is the 7th IIM of the country and is situated in the North-East part of the country. The admission process is through the CAT entrance test and the selection criteria are rigorous. The college has good placements and a well-qualified teaching facility.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and rigor are on par with any of the other IIM. The faculties are well qualified and act as facilitators in the teaching process. The student to faculty ratio is quite decent and ample options for specialization are available.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides support for internships as well as summer placements. The highest stipend for a summer internship was Rs. 3 lacs for a period of 2 months. There are ample opportunities available in different sectors. Some of the prominent recruiters at campus include ABG, ITC Bain, Nomura, DE Shaw among many others.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario of the college is good. The highest stipend for a summer internship was 3 lakhs for two months. The internship was provided across various domains ranging from finance, consulting to marketing and human resources. A majority of students went to consulting and marketing domains for top recruiters like ABG, ITC, Bain, Deloitte, etc. The financial roles were offered in companies like DE Shaw, Nomura, etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is decent enough keeping in mind the ROI. The highest package for the batch of 2020 was 48.5LPA with an average of approximately 18.76LPA so the return on investment is pretty good. Scholarships and financial assistance are also available for students from different economic backgrounds.
Campus Life
The current campus is lush green and turns pink with cherry blossoms. All the basic amenities are available ranging from the night canteen to an excellent hostel room. Various sports activities also take place all year round on the campus. The library is well equipped with resource material. The college also organizes various inter-college events.
Interview Experience
There was a group discussion during the interview. However, due to Covid-19, some interviews were shifted online and hence the GD process was canceled for the particular year to keep a level playing field for all the candidates. The GD was a case study based and was very well structured. Keeping a tab on business news will surely help during the process.
