Course Curriculum Overview
The teaching pedagogy is case-based and the professors are one of the best. The pedagogy gives a push to learning the key concepts through their application in real life. Though the online mode adopted in the aftermath of the pandemic has been a little hindrance to the free flow but coming back to the offline mode and shifting to the new campus will give a great push. The attendance criteria are strictly maintained as 85%.
Internships Opportunities
The internships are provided to 100% of the candidates. They are provided across a range of domains like marketing and sales, operations, finance, human resources management, general management etc. The highest spend had been 3lacs for the batch of 2020.
Placement Experience
IIM Shillong is one of the top 7IIMs in the country and is also referred to as the the 'campus in clouds'. The highest package of the batch 2020 was 48.5lpa with an average of almost 18.76 LPA. 100% of students have placed in the finals as well as the summer internships. ABG, Bain, ITC, Deloitte, Nomura, DE Shaw etc were few of the prominent recruiters.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are decided every year according to the provisions of the particular year. Financial assistance is provided as per the guidelines of the institute and the government. The fees are dependent on many factors and this it is decided to keep in mind the factors.
Campus Life
The social life in the campus is to notch. There are various clubs and committees to keep the participants engaged. The club's range from the various sectors that are pertinent to the course of the program. They include marketing, finance, operations, consulting, HR etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are very good with the food being served sirf to the diverse demography that it gets to. The rooms provided are also spacious and airy. The basic facilities and amenities are provided to ensure smooth conduct of studies. The breathtaking landscape around the campus becomes the cherry on the cake.
Interview Experience
The selection process consists of group discussion and personal interview. There is also the round of the case study. The selection criteria and the process may change depending on the year. Emphasis is put in testing the student on the knowledge of the print field and also on the general happenings taking place.
