Best Return of Investment and a great choice in this tier

Everything about DSM is inviting. I chose DSM over other colleges because it has a legacy of DTU bound to it. The teachers here are qualified, some holding PhDs and alumni of IIM, IIT, and DTU itself. They and very helpful in every which way. The alumni base of DTU is very strong and thus holds a lot of potential for the students when compared with the colleges of the same category. Being in Delhi, it also has a location advantage. Good companies like KPMG, IHS Markit, TCS, etc visit the college for placement. It provides ample opportunity in Marketing and Sales, HR, and Finance. Many startups visit the college to provide opportunities for internships. The Placement Cell can improve itself more. Being a pandemic struck year, it was the best choice I had. The college has a great ROI. The admission process started in July and was completed in August due to corona. Everything ran smoothly and was online. The administrative staff are cooperative and help you throughout the process.

The course curriculum is updated and to the mark of the industry demands. Pedagogy involves case studies. It focuses on developing the soft skills of the students. The faculty is very supportive and knowledgeable. They are experienced and motivating. The faculty are PhD holders and graduated from the top IITs and IIMs with industry experience. The faculty to student ratio is 1:8. The exams pattern follows the semester pattern. They were conducted timely and the syllabus included the subject matter taught.

Many companies and startups offer internships to students in all domains. Some of the internships convert into PPOs. The roles offers are for HR, Sales, Marketing, Business Development Executive, Operations, Finance-Equity research, portfolio management, etc. Data analyst roles are also offered. The internships give you industry insight and if you are sincere enough you will be able to bag a job before you finish college. If you remain focused, DSM won't disappoint you.

The placement scenario is okay. You will get a decent package if you put in your efforts. Many companies visiting the campus offer PPOs. IHS Markit, KPMG, TCS, The Outlook Group, etc. are our regular recruiters. You have to work a little hard when it comes to placements. Around 85% of the batch gets placed if holding a good track record. The average package offered as per information has been 5.5 lacs pa and the highest has gone up to 18 lacs.

The fee is very nominal. It's around 1lac per semester. There are scholarships available for the students. The college website holds all the details. One can check it. The fee hike policy is not a burden on the student's pockets. Due to the corona, the fee hike was also not much. In fact, the college compensated for the internet charges borne by the students during the course of studies.

The campus is very lively and many fests like Umang, Ahaan, Engifest, Yuvaan, Entheos, etc. Keep taking place all around the year to make the student industry-ready. The library has all sorts of journals and books available. We have the subscription to the best journals available like the Harvard Business Review and the likes. Classrooms have smart class facilities are spacious and well equipped with all the necessities and air-conditioned. Many inter-college and intra-college sports and events keep taking place at DSM. We have various clubs and societies organizing and participating in the same. All the clubs and societies in the DSM are student-run bodies. We have the sports club, the finance club, the HR club, the marketing club, the IT club, the arts and photography club, the knowledge sharing club too. They organize many fests. We publish our own annual business magazine too. Life at DSM is never a boring one.

The hostel for girls is a flat type with two people sharing a room. There are balconies. Though the space is small, the cleanliness is well taken care of. The food is nice in the mess. You can avail of it at your will. Though preference is given to the people staying far from Delhi first in case of allocation of the hostel. The campus is open till 9 pm. You can also avail of PGs in the area. There are many available.

You have to clear the cutoff set by the college for the CAT exams. The admissions take place by registrations on the CMAC website. After the shortlisting is done, there is a GDPI process after which you are finally selected and have to pay admission fees for the first semester and other charges. Though due to Covid 19 the GDPI sessions did not take place this year. But it is very likely it will be held in the next admission session.
