Entrance Preview

No entrance tests required, since it is an arts college. Just my 12th grade marks and its aggregate was enough. I opt for this college since I wanted to be more serious and dedicated on the course/skill that I wanted to acquire. Being an arts and science college they run 9-4.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is from Madras University which is very basic and nothing R&D oriented or professionally sound old C, C++, basic java is being taught as part of BCA. Electives for BCA were Accounts which is being forced course structure is so basic and does not help when you are in need of solid knowledge of the items/curriculum outlined.

Mostly BPO companies hire people here, I was hired for All sec technologies for US voice since I was from BCA I was not allowed to participate in interview conducted by FORD which is for finance graduates ie B.Com(again BPO) No reputed companies now as of 2016. Earlier in 2010 atleast ford, allsec, wipro bpo recruited.

Nothing basically, annual day will happen and only religious songs to be played no cine songs so basically nobody will participate.

Exam Structure

It was really so hectic you would not believe we had monthly tests, quarterly revision exams and then semesters that is run by university. Exams will be conducted in either first or second half of the day the rest will be classes. Your parents will be called to give the mark-sheets/corrected papers and they will be scrutinized.

Admission

Usually applications are rolled out once the 12th grade marks are out pupil/interested candidates can buy it directly from college. (No online applications) Fill it up and submit at the earliest you/candidate will be called for course discussion on why you have chosen this, why not the other course. Ex: If you are a commerce student you will not be allowed to pick BCA or B.Sc.

Faculty

Qualification in paper seems high but the interaction and teacher are of very okayi/substandard. Complete book worm stereotypes, no causal analysis or research based explanation. At times the faculty runs through with guides and help books for mathematical problem solving. (maths and accounts both)Standards compared to colleges like SRM or even Loyola it is very low.

Placement Experience:

From the 4th semester, itselft students get to know about the placement training and pre placements talks were held to students who is interested in the placement. They will undergo aptitude, programming and soft skills training. So the companies visiting our colleges are service-based companies which are accenture , TCS, Deloitte and product based companies such as Zoho hiring for 6-10 LPA. Accenture offers a package of 3.4 LPA where as Fractal Analysis company offers a package of above 10 LPA The placed students in my department is 70% which is a big number if the training is effective there will be more than 80%students will get placed.
