College with good values

Overall college experience was good, good learning, practical experiences, entertainment but lacking placements.

UPTU, i got around 30,000 rank in the exam, among top three colleges in my home town that's why i opted it.

Course curriculum was of standard syllabus for an engineering degree. It included all subject required in engineering. Good practical manuals were included, and we performed many programming practicals in operating system lab, microprocessor 8085 coding, professional communication and even concerns about environment.

No, i didn't get any internship. May be they provide stipend for gate qualified students in m.tech. since i pursued b.tech so i did not get any stipend from college.

Seriously speaking campus placements are not enough. Only few students got placed through campus. Rest of students are placed today of their own efforts. But everyone is placed now of my batch except few students.It is due to they acquired good knowledge from college. But they should make efforts in this direction.

There were huge curriculum activities like, Technical fest, cultural fest-nirvana, fashion fest, collage competition, online gaming fests, sports week, hacking seminars, robotics exhibition i got first prize every four years in technical fest. Prize money was five thousand which was distributed among the team of 4.

Fee structure was feasible at that time, but it was not so less. I paid 59000 as basic fees, 10000 spots fees and 10000 more. Total fees was 79000. One from middle class can afford it, but poor people can't afford it.This fees was charged annually. Other fees may include bus fees for transportation which was around 7 thousand in first year and then kept on increasing to i think 13 thousands.

One can avail education loan from bank. They gave in writings but they did not offer any loan. Scholarship was given to economically and socially weaker students with caste certificate as well as income certificate.

Campus was safe, no ragging, no discrimination and very healthier environment. Range of extra-curriculum activities like, Technical fest.

I was a day scholar so i don't know about hostel facilities. But food was good as I sometime tried the lunch of one of my hostel friend. And security was very tight for girls as well as boys. They can't let you go home if your parents don't tell them or they don't come to pick you. They provide bus facility to hostel girls on Sunday for marketing with warden. Cleanliness in hostel was very good.

Alumni network is good, they invite every year for fest and other activities, senior posts about jobs in the network.

Exam structure was good, we have to go though two seasonal exams and one pre- semester exam to have a good semester exam like experience before external semester exam. It helped us in boosting our performance and to get prepared for semesters in advance. Marks of exams were added in internal marks so no one could have skipped exams.

I got this college through UPTU counselling. I chose the college code during online counselling i.e; 229 with computer science as preferred branch. They allotted me the college since it was available till my rank but very few seats. All the documents were verified during counselling and an allotment letter was given to me. By showing that letter in Vidya college of engineering they gave me admission after payment of required fees.

Faculty were having immense knowledge except few. some of teachers were of great caliber like our maths teacher, operating system teacher, Design and analysis of algorithm teacher, microprocessor teacher and many more. None of them knowledge they even were more focused on practicals, make us understand what's the application of subject.
