Manish Prajapat's Review On Maharishi Arvind Institute Of Engineering & Technology - [MAIET], Jaipur

College management is decent if you want to study in a college that is inside Jaipur and within the center of city , you should opt for Maharishi Arvind Institute.

I opted for RPET its a joint entrance examination for admission in all technical colleges under Rajasthan Technical University i gave this exam because i didn't receive decent marks in AIEEE or IIT JEE i got 54 marks out of 120 in RPET Major reason for choosing this college was that it is the only college in Jaipur that is inside the city.

The course curriculum is not of the highest standard it is decent though all the subjects that are required to be known for a computer science engineer are taught here in the first year of college , all the students , irrespective of their college are taught all the basic subjects of all the branches after that students can decide to switch their branch if they want to the next 3 years students are taught subjects specific to their own branch subjects taught are decent but the syllabus is a little bit outdated.

The college doesn't provide internship to the students. Students have to go to other companies to do internship the overall experience of a student is not good as he has to look at a lot of options and do all the research himself.

Placements in our college in not that good none of the major tech companies come to our college . Only a few local companies come in a batch only 10 - 12 students get placed in on campus placements other students have to go out of the college for out of campus placements the companies generally offer between 2 to 4 lakh per annum.

The main college event that is celebrated in the first year of the college is Freshers party this event is celebrated so that the best male and female student can be chosen from all the freshness apart from this colleges annual cultural festival called AURA is celebrated during the month of February navratri festival is also celebrated in the college very enthusiastically.

The fee structure of the college is not very expensive as compared with other colleges in the city the fees for each semester is roughly 35000 indian ruppes. Apart from that in the first year the student also has to pay development fee there is no additional fee whatsoever fee structure of the hostel is also 35,000 per semester.

The students that have received good marks in RPET are given TFWS scholarship under the government of rajasthan under this scheme , only 5500 indian ruppes is taken as a tution fee for an eligible student.

The campus life is chill . The teachers do not behave like school teachers the campus also have good sporting facility so that the students can participate in sports facility the male to female ratio of computer science branch is somewhat equal the college also conducts debates , seminars and sessions from time to time overall its a good environment for a student to live.

The hostels are equipped with high quality ducting . The ducting works properly during summer during winter , to cope with the cold college bathrooms are equipped with heaters .the bathrooms and toilets are clean person to toilet ratio could be improved the mess food is decent . Sundays are special diets day non vegetarian is not served in the mess.

The exam structure is very hectic four college years are divided into 8 semesters in each semester there are 2 mid terms 1 practical exam and 1 Main RTU exam In each semester there are six subjects so a student has to learn a lot Apart from the theory there are 3 to 5 practical subjects every semester In the final year, a student also has to make a major and a minor project based on the list provided by the college.

I gave RPET after the results were declared there was a counseling session in which students were alloted colleges according to their rank my rank was decent so I got Maharishi Arvind i went to college for completing the admission process i had to submit all the relevant documents it was over within a few hours i also went to see the hostels of the college.

The faculty of the collge is not of highest standard but some of the teachers are exceptionally good the teachers that taught us Core Computer Science subjects were good Data structure , C , C++ were taught in a decent way some of the teachers were not experienced and it affected the overall result of the class.
