Remarks
Overall my experience with MCET was very good. I actually love my college life. College management is ready to lend their hands if we are working on a good cause.
Entrance Preview
There were no entrance examinations. I scored 1139/1200 with a Maths/CS background [Cut-off--->193.25] I took this college from peers review.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are totally 2 semesters per year counting to a total of 8 semesters. Course curriculum is very easy to clear provided if we learn it at right time. Some subjects are too difficult to learn but we can pass them for sure. First year is full of basics and it is the same for all the departments. There are lab practices for mechanical workshop, chemistry and physics. Maximum of +1 and +2 standard syllabus is taught in the 1st year. 2nd year will be starting of basics in Engineering of all the departments. It will be also the same for 3rd semester and from 4th sem onwards we get to know the core subjects.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, Internships are provided. I passed out in 2015. It was that year when my college became an Autonomous institution. From that onwards my college started promoting awareness about internships and provided a platform in getting internships.
Placement Experience
Soliton, Robert Bosch, Infosys, UST Global, etc., are the companies that recruits the students. Infosys is the major job opportunity in our college. Minimum of 7/10 CGPA is the company's requirement. Some company accepts backlogs at the time of interview but some don't. It is better to have 7 CGPA with no history of arrears.
College Events
Uddeshah is a technical event. All departments gets involved in conducting this event. Kleos is a cultural event. There are many clubs as well like Fine-Arts, Tamil Mandram, Youth Parliament, YRC, RRC, etc. Club wise events are also conducted in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
We can expect around Rs.1.10 Lakh p.a. including hostel fee. College fee is around 68k and varies from department to department. As compared to other colleges fee structure is a bit high. Opting for loans will be a better option because we may not know when education loans get discounted by government :P.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are available for economically unmanageable backgrounds. I have availed central government scholarship but that is not related to my college. Information can be gathered from the college.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is balanced. There are intramurals conducted in sports. There is no tennis court. Club conducts many events that includes debates, robotic competitions, etc. My college encourages to take part in events abroad. I was a part of Formula Student Spain [FSS] event. In this event we have to build a car with the rules specified by FSS team and build innovation in it. It was the best part in my college life and actually we went to SPAIN to take part in the event. There is Students' organized team called SGS [Students' Guild of Service] that manages all the clubs and events. An event organized comes under the signed off approval from this team that allocates budget and funds the event by taking it to the management. This team contains only students under the guidance from a faculty advisor.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is very good in all aspects except food. The main advantage is that the hostel is within the campus itself. I would rate 7/10 for my hostel. There is a common restroom which we have to adjust. Mess food is too boring. Afternoon is always meals. You will have to wage a war during holidays to get food. You will understand what waging a war if you get inside the hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
There are meetings held to build up alumni network. Passed out students meet the college students and give some valuable information for their career. Such meetings are really helpful.

Admission
Filling up and sending the counseling form from Anna University is the first step. I got the call for on the 6th day of counseling if I remember correct. I opted for this college and I called the college. Waited for some 20-30 days to pay the 1st year fees. The office guys will help us in filling the forms and other procedures.
Faculty
Faculties are extremely professional and friendly too. Of-course there are some strict lecturers but then we can manage them if we at least pretend to be good. Most of the professors will encourage us to do something innovative and at the same time they expect us to score marks. If we listen their words during exam times then we are on good track.
