This institute is well known for its finance domain and is among few top colleges that have business analytics as to the domain. It gives admission totally on the basis of merit and even considered a delay of the payment of fees in covid time.
Course Curriculum Overview
They have a vast course curriculum and cover all the main topics. They even have Bloomberg terminals at the institute. Business analytics is a booming course nowadays and LBSIM teaches various programming languages like R, Python, SPSS, IBM, etc. They teach data modeling, machine learning, natural language, and many more. Facilities try to help students and are always willing to solve the doubts. Even in online mode, they taught hands-on. Even learned various online teaching methods so that we students don't feel left. Most all the faculties are either PhD holders or are highly qualified in the particular field. Even they have visiting faculties teaching and they too are expert in their field. As for business analytics students, one of the visiting faculty is herself a data scientist.
Internships Opportunities
Various internship opportunities come to our college. More than 50% of the batch is already placed even after considering the covid situation. Various startups and even top companies come to recruit students such as EY, Deloitte, Agarwal package and movers etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is approx 1167000 Rs. In addition, we need to pay management fees of Rs 30000 and alumni fees of Rs 7000. They even provide sponsorship specifically to people in need and belong to weaker sections of the society. Various internships and live projects can be done by students for a stipend.
Campus Life
The campus is small as compared to others but they have all the necessities for the students. They have a cafeteria, library, video Conference room, hostel, and Bloomberg terminals. The campus has a statue of Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri ji when we enter the premises. And a platform for flag hoisting. Institute is not only concerned about studies but also overall development. Books and uniforms are provided by the institute. There is one table tennis court in our college. There are 18 academic and nonacademic clubs and cells in our college. In addition, there is a management grid, placement cell, and alumni cell. There is also a cultural club that organizes various fests and functions like dandiya night, tatva, etc We also have a social initiative club - Sparsh and a rural immersion program where we helped people of Jhabua, MP.
Interview Experience
Yes, there was a GD-PI round at the institute itself. We went to the institute. GD was followed by PI. Though it was not too difficult. They asked questions related to current economic situations and your domain. They also tried to calm student when they panicked.
