UIET, PU is Fun, Energetic, Hectic, Lovely, Yummy, Tough, and what not. The time i have spent here, i will not forget ever in my life.

AIEEE 2012, Nowadays the admissions are via JEE Mains. The candidate has to appear in the above said exam. and enroll in the JAC chandigarh. once the results are out the student will be called on the basis of a cut off decided by JAC. There are various types of reservation also for students of economically weaker sections, students playing any sport on national level, etc.

The course was good. Uiet, PU gives u an environment where you not only learn engineering but also to manage things, The course here is fixed as per the AICTE norm. The course includes a good mix of Practical and theory. though more importance is given to theory part but various events helps the student to grow his/her practical knowledge also.

A clear answer would be No. No direct internship is being provided by the college though sometimes the college collaborate with private internship companies. Hence no stipend is there for the participants.

CSE or IT branch rules the placements here. 100% of the CSE/IT branch is placed. It is a tough call for the core branches as less number of traditional core companies visits UIET thus core branches gets an offer either from the IT companies or the consultancy firms visiting UIET. Though exposure here in Panjab university can easily land you in a job.

Panjab University is the most happening place in Chandigarh. Along with the exams we have different fests. We celebrate cultural fest Goonj, Technical fest Aavishkar, Innovation fest Aarambh, Entrepreneurship summit Udyami. After all these we have fests of Panjab University too Jhankar, Cyanide, etcs. So we Celebrate enough and study too

Being a state government university fee is much lesser than private university. it costs around 70,000/- to 80,000/- per year. so it is pretty much feasible. also many banks provides education loan for the same. Plus in this fee PU gives us medical services, sports services, Wifi, 24*7 Library facility for free.

Yes Panjab University gives a lots of scholarship to students such as Merit cum means scholarships, single parent scholarships. There is a provision for students of economically backward section which helps in there stay and studies in Chandigarh. They also gives various scholarships to the students representing Panjab University in various sports at various levels

Gender ratio in UIET is not that great it is 30:70::Girls:Boys. But in Punjab university overall the ratio is just opposite. Yes the ratio is 70:30 Girls:boys. In UIET there are various societies such as theater society, society of automotive engineers, entrepreneurship development cell, training and placement cell, cultural society, technical society.

Hostel facilities are good the hostels are affordable. the best part is that you will have to pay only for the food you have had. there is no fixed charges for a month. yes diet charges are fixed i.e Rs30 only for a diet. Food is good. There are 8 boys hostels with different mess facilities so some hostels have very good homely food and some don't. Room rent of a hostel room is fixed it cost me around Rs500/- to Rs800/- per month

Yes, our current seniors do help us in various situations. We also have a committee STAR- Students Team for Alumni Relations. which organises various meetings with our Alumni and help us in building CV, connections, etc.

Exam structure is very hectic. almost every month we have our University exams(Except the 1st month of semester). We gave 2 minor and 1 major exam in one semester of 6 months for theory. It further adds up with different practical exams, viva, assignments, MCQs, etc.

Faculty here in Uiet, PU is well educated and was appointed in accordance with the guidelines set by AICTE and Vice Chancellor Panjab University. The faculty also encourage the student to take part in various event to enhance their knowledge they even themself take part in various conferences (national/ international).
