My Most Memorable Years at IIM-Trichy

I chose IIM-Trichy because the institute has a bunch of versatile and well qualified faculties who strive to make a difference in the student's career. Also, the placements in the institute stand best among all the IIMs across India. The infrastructure is well developed and is shared with NIT Trichy. Admission at IIM-Trichy is based on the aspirant's performance in the written exam and personal interview and their academic records and work experience.

I chose this course so as IIM-Trichy was very famous for its finance programme and with that, I can work in the banks where this programme is approved and the faculties are highly skilled and excellent at providing career guidance. Their teaching methods are very different yet understandable which is the best thing at IIM-Trichy. Most of the faculties hold doctoral degrees. If you have studied throughout the year, then it's easier to pass the exams.

The average stipend offered for the internships at IIM-Trichy was around INR 50,000 and the highest stipend offered was INR 2.5 lakhs. Many reputable companies such as Accenture, L&T, GroupM, Godrej, HDFC, KANTAR, ICICI, IBM offered major roles in various domains like General Management, Consulting, Sales & Marketing, HR, Finance, etc.

Every year, the campus placements at IIM-Trichy is 100%. Most of the reputed and recognized companies visit IIM-Trichy including Karur Vysya Bank, Able Cold Logistics, TVS Motors, Amazon, Godrej, and others. This year, a total of 119 companies visited and 186 offers were made. The highest package at IIM-Trichy was INR 25 LPA while the average package was INR 14.96 LPA. This year, most of the students were placed in the Sales & Marketing Sector. Overall the placements at IIM-Trichy is awesome.

Although the course fee is higher which costs of around 9 Lakhs per annum inclusive of food. But there are various scholarships that IIM-Trichy offers for PG programs which are Central Sector Scholarship of Top Class Education for SC & ST students, Merit cum Means Based Scholarship for students from the minority community, and others. Students can avail of loan facilities as well as the institute is connected with many banks that offer loans at the best interest rates.

Life at IIM-Trichy is wonderful. The campus is installed with 24/7 WiFi, e-learning classrooms, sports ground for indoor and outdoor games. There are a plethora of other facilities and amenities available at IIM-Trichy. It's indeed a great place to learn, live, and excel. The library is fully computerised and fully furnished. An open amphitheatre where numerous fests and celebrations are held every year and among them, the most popular are the Business Cultural Fest, Dhruva, etc. There are many student-run committees and clubs where it's mandatory to at least enrol in any of the 2 clubs and these clubs cater for the interests of the students.

There are around 6 hostel blocks at IIM-Trichy offer the best foods and there are many other varieties of foods available at the hostel canteen. There are plenty of options to select from non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes. Departmental stores are available for the convenience of the students. Rooms are spacious that can be shared and it is fully furnished, air-conditioned and comes with a LAN facility, a private balcony. Overall the registration procedure for the hostel facility can be while submitting the admission application. Staying in the hostel at IIM-Trichy is as comfortable as staying in the house.

General topics related to current affairs, stock markets, and finances were asked in the GD, and Interview questions, while most of the questions were easier few of them were difficult to answer. Post the interview session, the authorities check the work experience and academic performances. Although I was very nervous, I gave my best reply and today I am proud to say that I've completed my PGDM from IIM-Trichy.
