Remarks

There are very good facilities. Various types of laboratories are there. They have a hospital and doctor are present every time. Wi-Fi facility is available in hostel areas and also in the University area but in the case of the university, it is used only for official purposes. They have a big field to play football and cricket. A lot of sports instruments are available. Every teacher is highly qualified. All teachers are PhD. And their teaching quality is extremely good. The main bad thing is placement. No student is directly placed to any company. The main admission process is merit list based on board marks and 10% of seats are filled through ICAR (UG) exam. The admission process starts after the releasing of different boards' results. It varies from May to June. If someone has an interest in research in agriculture then it is the best place as it offers the best research infrastructure. That's why anyone can select this university without any doubt.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course as I had some interest in different crop varieties and to know more about it I have chosen this course. In this university faculty: student almost equals 1:15. This university consists of faculty members for three domains namely agriculture, horticulture and agricultural engineering. It takes four years to complete each course with the guidance of respective faculty members. The curriculum follows the semester system, and there are eight semesters in a total of four years. The students have to face numerous examinations, practicals and classes. Attendance is very important in this course as students have to acquire a minimum of 75% of attendance in all subjects every semester to be eligible for appearing in the end term examination.

Placement Experience

2

Placements scenario is not so good, it's average. And if you choose this university leaving a private college, then your decision is better. Packages are mostly in between 3-5 lacs. The multinational company visit every year, BCKV provide every student job and make them earning, and alumni are very notable.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is not any specific fees hike policy. Currently, the semester fee is about 7000 which is not so much and the hostel fee is also negligible. Students can get different state-level scholarship such as SVMCMS etc. The students can also get a scholarship from ICAR fellowship.

Campus Life

4.5

There are a lot of events like sports event in winter. Freshers event and it is especially for a new batch of the university. And a big event at the university is SOCIAL. It is a big campus. Events like Naibedya (Rabindra Jayanti), nexus (fest) Unmesh (inter-year cultural and games competition) etc. are celebrated in the college. Social is generally held in the month of December. There is a big library named "central library". Once this was the biggest agro library in Asia. One can get a huge scope to get introduced to different agro books. Classrooms are also well organised and air-conditioned.

Hostel Facilities

5

Yes, I'm a hosteller. The hostel is well equipped. 3 students are accommodated in each room. Rooms are fairly large. Hostels have well-maintained bathrooms, canteens. Volleyball court, Table tennis, Carrum, Badminton courts are also available. Hostel fee is very much less about 1500/month.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..
