Remarks
LBSIM is a tier 3 college and is among top 100 colleges as per NIRF ranking. LBSIM takes admission on the basis of CAT and GMAT. Minimum cat percentile is 80. But for research and business analytics is less, approx 75. The admission process takes place in the month of February and March. Admission is taken on the basis of GD-PI and Wat. And the process is not too tough.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because there are very few colleges with research and business analytics. Faculty ratio is 1:8. Mostly teachers are PhD holders or masters in that domain. Exams are conducted very timely. Midterms are subjective and end-term are objective. LBSIM follows a trimester system, not a semester system.
Internships Opportunities
College offers internship opportunities and summer internship is mandatory for all students. Companies visit the campus for that too. But this year mostly startups have come and is offering very low or nil stipend. Main domains are sales. Very few companies with finance, HR and operations profile are visiting campus. Not too good actually. Finance students are doing an internship in domains other than marketing because of the lack of internship.
Placement Experience
Placement is good and almost 100% but this year due to the Covid situation is not soo good. Placements are very slow. But also some top-notch companies have visited the campus like Deloitte and EY. Average package is 6-7 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for LBSIM this year was 1167000. They increase fees every year by 10% but in 2021 they haven't increased the fees keeping covid factor into consideration. Apart from fees students have to pay 30000 management grid fees and 7000 alumni fees. The scholarship is given to 12 students of 50000 each by the institute.
Campus Life
There are various clubs in LBSIM. 18 clubs consisting of one club for each domain. 4 cultural clubs including dance, drama, singing and fashion. LBSIM has Sparsh- social initiative club and rural immersion program. There is a very big library in LBSIM and Bloomberg terminals. There is no court for sports except table tennis but has a gym.
Interview Experience
Topics of GD were very easy and related to current news for example Brexit or NRC etc. There happens WAT followed by GD-PI. Criteria for admission is CAT score and GD-PI. PI is also very smooth and they are asking questions from acads and news. I prepared for the rounds by reading daily news and logical Ques.
