Aabra ka Daabra: College ka Pitara

This college was ranked very highly in finance and had a lucrative Roi. Also, the college location was one of the factors for me. I referred to various websites and blogs by pagalguy, other MBA sites. Admission process began by filling out the form and having cleared the minimum CAT cut-off level which was followed by Gd and Interview.

The main attraction of this course was the practical aspect of subjects like marketing analytics, market research, etc. Which are rare in other colleges. Faculties are all PhD. Qualified and have good corporate exposure. The female-male ratio is 33.33%.

Every student is given the chance to get an internship from on campus drive. My internship was with one of the large insurance player Bajaj Allianz where my role was that of a finance intern and we had to make a portfolio.

Placement is good. Student gets ample opportunities to perform. They become eligible to sit for placement from the fourth trimester. Almost 100% of placement is achieved every year. Companies such as big 4, Barclay, etc. Visit the campus to offer several job roles.

The fee is quite reasonable as compared to other similar colleges. However, the hostel fee is expensive given the facilities. College provides 50k scholarship to 6 needy students. The fee has been hiked this year which is not reasonable because there are not prominent change in the structure.

College life is always fun. However, we miss some fun due to off campus hostel facilities. There is some recreational space but it is not very big. Also, we have various academic and non-academic clubs to enhance student participation. The annual fest is conducted in February.

Hostel facility was good but could be better. Rooms were good, wifi-enabled. Food was ok. The hostel will always be a hostel. Don't expect much. There are double bed sharing rooms only. The market is very near to the hostel.

Yes, there was a group discussion process for the selection. Topics were based on current affairs and some abstracts as well. As far as I remember, my Gd topic was regarding the policies for doubling farmer's income. Read newspapers daily and practice communication.
