Wonderful 4 years!

I had some of the best days of my life. I had the opportunity to be trained in industry level courses by 2 companies, Infosys, Sankalp and Tata Elxsi. Prepared me for the real world jobs. Would suggest any one to join the college without hesitation.

CET score/rank: 9945. This is the best college outside the Mysore/Bangalore area in Karnataka. Prestigious alumni keep contributing to the development of the college.

Course was standard VTU syllabus, regarded one of the best in the country. over all 52 subjects over 8 semesters in 4 years. Plus 2 laboratory practicals every semester. Final year has a project and seminar. Additionally you can opt for extra courses usually conducted by companies, that have tied up with the college.

College doesn't provide internship by itself, but allows companies and students to explore options and pursue them. Stipend depends on the company offering.

Placements are usually in the high 90's %. Offers vary from 3.5 LPA TP 12+ LPA.

CET entrance is most affordable option. Fees are set before the start of the year, and is revised every year. Couple of branches are Government aided hence the fees are subsidized. Management quota seats are higher priced, and changes every year based on demand. There is a 3rd entrance exam (COMEDK) based admission and the fees are between the above 2.

College in itself doesn't provide any but the KLE Society provides scholarships. There are other non profit organisations which provide scholarships.

Campus is huge, about 43 acres, and provides lots of space for plenty of activities. A well functioning gym, tennis courts, basket ball court, kabbaddi/kho kho court, badminton court, carom and table tennis, football and cricket grounds all withing the campus. Students are encouraged to participate in annual event called Sparsh which has all kinds of fun activities. Gender ratio is roughly about M60:F40, wit people from all over India.

Hostel is good. There are about 500-600 rooms triple, double or single sharing. Boys hostels have been divided into Junior hostel and senior hostel. 1st year students are separated to avoid any untoward incidents. Ladies hostel are combined, and have daily attendance and other security measures. Food is good, you can even opt out of the mess.

Distinguished alumni help in development of the college infrastructure. Some Alumni visit college regularly and give talks to the students, some organised workshops, help in placement bring in placement contacts etc.

Exam format has changed over the years, we had Internal tests and external exams. 3 Internals 25 marks each and 1 external exam for 100 marks. Aggregated to 125 (100+ average of the best 2 internal scores) later it has been changed to GPA scoring system. a 10 point GPA.

Faculty is good, they have a minimum educational requirement of M Tech. Senior professors are either pursuing PhD or have already completed their PhD. Many of the senior professors are consultants in various govt and private sector. I have personally worked with faculty of 4 different departments and they have been helpful.
