My college experience

The college was ranked no. 1 in 2018 for BBA. The faculties are highly cooperative. Discipline is ensured on the campus. The infrastructure is up to the mark. Library in the college can be used as and when required without formalities and restrictions. One can always access computers in the library as well. Computer labs are also well maintained. One can be disappointed by the canteen but that's secondary when comes to education and there are various food outlets outside the college. The admission procedure is very easy. Firstly you have to appear for the entrance exam. Then on the basis of your rank, you can choose colleges. Since MSI is reputed, a good rank is a must. Then you have to pay in advance online and pay the second instalment at the college itself. (The process is slightly different for quota and spot counselling students.)

I'm interested in business and what better way it is to know about business, management and administration than studying business. So I chose BBA for my graduation. There is 1 professor for 40-50 students in a class. Almost all the professors in MSI are PhD holders. They are really talented and always encourage students to do researches and guide them through difficulties. The teaching method is different for every teacher but it is always fun. Presentations and assignments are done on regular basis for engaging students in the class. Internal exams are conducted when 75% of the syllabus is done and external exams are conducted as per the university guidelines. Exams are not hard to crack if you pay attention in class.

For BBA students it is a part of the curriculum to do an internship. Various companies come to give opportunities and appoint students as interns. IHS Market, Wipro, etc are a few examples. The stipend was Rs. 25,000 last year for an intern.

From the 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. They start appearing in PIs and GDs. Infosys, Wipro, IHS Markit, etc are few companies that visited and various offers are made. The highest package was Rs. 10,00,000 and on an average 2-3 lakhs. 95% of the students get placement. I plan to get the placement and gain experience before applying for masters.

For the first two years fee is 86,300 and for the last year, it is 88,300 (2,000 are placement charges & optional). There is no scholarship program in MSI. You may get cash prizes at the end of the year if you secure a good rank in academics but there is no provision for financial assistance in the college.

The annual fest of MSI is Genesis and it is conducted in the month of January/February. The books in the library are mostly related to the courses available in the college. It will help a lot if you seek help from books because almost all the books are available. The benches in the classrooms are sufficient. The rooms have windows for lighting. ACs are not there in every room. MSI also conducts sports day for the students who are engaged in sports. MSI also conducts seminars for providing opportunities, competitions and various other programs. There are various societies in the college that are run by students. The finance society, marketing society, dance society, music society, environment society, National Service Scheme, are few examples of such societies.
