Remarks

The management is running the college like a Jail/ penitentiary . The management should get their thought-process straight (i mean straight) and accept the fact that the stupid rules are not going to define the personality of any individual. Please join this college if you wish to experience how it will be to study 4 years in a jail.

Entrance Preview

Anna university counselling. No entrance test needed. I scored enough cut off , greater than 190, to get into this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

There is no real research going on. Most of the final year projects are purchased in richie street. There is no focus on research by the management. The management focuses only on placement percentage and rules that mean close to nothing in real life like you should be clean shaved at all times where even many corporate companies don't care about whether you shave your beard or not. There is no option given to the students to select the electives. All the electives are decided by the staff.

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies providing internship opportunities like Honeywell, Johnson Controls, etc. Stipend varies from 10 k- 15 k per month.

Placement Experience

4

The management's primary goal is to get a good placement percentage. But they only focus on getting IT companies since hire in large numbers. 600-800 people get placed in IT companies every year and only 40-50 people get placed in the core companies which is not a very healthy ratio.

College Events

0.5

The college is very bad in conducting any type of event, be it technical or non technical. The symposiums in the college is a joke. The management imposes a bunch of rules on the participants like no casual clothing and they have to be clean shaved as well. The college doesn't want to really conduct any event. They conduct the events just because it is part of their yearly calendar. The college has no regard for the student's opinions when it comes to conducting events like symposiums.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible for students who attend Anna university counselling. But for management students, the management fee is hidden and it is a huge amount costing multiple lac of rupees. The college charges 10 K only for notebooks, but they give only 4 record notebooks. I don't know how just 4 record notebooks cost 10 k.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college doesn't give any scholarship / loan. You have to avail loan from some bank to afford the fee but the college won't provide any scholarships.

Campus Life

2.5

The campus life is horrible. Please don't join this college if you are looking for a enjoyable college life. There are many stupid rules inside the campus which make you a introvert and stupid in real life. Some of the rules are- boys and girls are not supposed to talk to each other, no cellphones, no outside food, boys should not be having any kind of beard/ facial hair, cannot leave the college campus without a gate pass from the HOD,etc. All these rules are meaningless and against some basic rights. No notable extracurricular activities are worthy enough to pursue.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is actually a penitentiary system. Again, the rules are pointless but they make a big deal about the rules. The mess food is very good. We must give credit for the food though. The food is the only talking point of the college and the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is a joke. They have alumni meets every year and its a big joke. The alumni meets serves no purpose and I shall never attend an alumni meet of this college ever.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is designed by Anna university and the college follows the same structure. Majority of the questions don't test the analytical skills of the student. 80% of the questions are only to test whether the student can write 40 pages in 3 hours.

Faculty

2.5

Out of all the faculty in EEE department, I can say that there are only 3 professors who really know what they are teaching. The other faculty members only focus on finishing their chapters / topics on schedule and don't care about whether or not the students acquire actual field knowledge that will be used in real world.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.
