Remarks

My interest in fashion and management made me join my college. I think I had the creativity to be in a fashion school. Plus my course is for science student and is completely different from design programmes and focuses more towards management and merchandising

Course Curriculum Overview

I find it interesting. There are fewer students so it is easy for the faculty to focus on each and every student. We have a lot of practical based learning. Our exams are conducted in 2 different formats. The theory subjects have written exam while rhe practical ones have jury exams.

Nift is said to have 99% placement at it's campus. Though we don't have different placements for each campus. We have a centralised placement in which a student can visit any campus for placements. Different brands like pantaloons, flipkart, park Avenue, raymond, Arvind mills, Levi's visit our campus.

College Events

Our campus has a wonderful location. We have metro station right in front of our college, a mall right beside the campus, market complex in 1 km radius and a hospital right infront of the college. Despite of all this there not much noise and our campus is quiet. The campus has a lot of greenery inside it. We have a stationery right inside the campus

There are placements in our college,we get placement training from our 5th semester and in 7th semester we are eligible for the campus placements, the highest package they mentioned was 60lpa. Over the placements are good and you need to get 65% in your exams for the eligibility of campus placements

The College placements will be available eligible for the students of 4th-year 1st semester there is a number of companies visited almost 100 companies like TCS Infosys for exam and there is a highest package of 40 lacks per annum and average package 6 lakhs per annum and there is a placement of about 98 percentage and my plan is after getting the degree is to get a job in a multinational company

From the 3rd semester, you are well eligible for placements. Various company's and firms get into some famous like Amarchand and so on. As an intern, you are not getting that big salary offers but you get a good and sustainable amount of money for work. I think the highest package was offered as 18lac per annum and the majority stick to 13 14 lakhs. 100% of students get placements if they have performed well in every semester. I've decided to work one year as a clerk with a judge and then on to do my master's in law from abroad.

I didnt apply to any other college. It was NIFT or nothing else for me. Initially, we submit our application for the course we want. Then there is GAT exam, general ability test which is a combination of maths, english, General knowledge, case studies. There will be selection from this exam for the interview and campus selection. The interview part was not there for me, because of COVID. So there was narrowed selection from the exam itself. Hyderabad has proven to be a great college for fashion Technology students with good placements and great faculties. For the exam, focus on all the factors, buy books, attend coaching if required, do mocks and u will definitely ace it. NIFT is the epitome of best fashion college so to get in here to achieve your fashion career dream is the ideal dream. The cutoffs are generally lenient. However, since more and more students are applying ever year it has gotten tough to get in. Reservation seats and NRI seats are all there for students. The admission process is quite lengthy as it has 4 steps to clear. Submitting application form through online process.
