Remarks

It was 94th ranked by TOI Institutions around the world. It was the first college to implement CDIO(Conceive Design Implement Operate). The Institute provides a good environment inside the campus as well as in hostels. Also I didn't qualified in JEE Mains, and I also wrote Vel Tech entrance exam, so I got a scholarship of 50% in my tuition fee and the fee was less compared to other deemed universities. The quality of food is also good in hostel.

I am from CSE dept and it is best in the college. Most of the students are good and always participates in events. The faculties are very cooperative and encourage us. More than 90% students were placed last year from CSE. CSE always tops the list in Placements.

From 6th semester students can attend placements. More than 150 companies visited. A student got 7 offers which is maximum. Highest package is 12 LPA offered by Amazon and average package is around 5 LPA. 93% students placed from CSE and overall percentage was 70. Various profiles offered by different companies. My plan after degree was to do a job.

College Events

Different clubs are available NCC clubs, NSS clubs, Sports clubs, Arts clubs, Dance club, Music Clubs, which are good to discover our interests and talents.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For me actual tuition fee was 1,50,000(as per 2017 structure) and got 50% scholarship. So my tuition fee was 75,000 and academic and exam fee was 20,000. If you want to stay in hostel it is 80,000 for hostel fee. CSE dept is good for campus placements. If you are not interested in CSE, then choose ECE in placements point of view. I got selected in capgemini for the position of senior analyst.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel was good and I stay in 4-in-1 room. 2 in 1 and single rooms are also available and the hostel fee will be increased. The food is very good and tasty.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

Written test only which is similar to JEE Mains or advanced, EAMCET. The test is Objective type and consists of questions from topics of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from intermediate or 12 th class. The test duration is three hours and consists of 150 multiple choice questions.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

Before admitting in Vel Tech, I've applied in Quaid E Millath, Queen Mary's College, Nandanam Arts college, Presidency college.I chose Veltech over these because It helps me financially and academically.Even though i had less marks Veltech admitted me. Yes I did get a rejection from other colleges due to my less performance in 12th Standard. It happened because of my medical issues. Admission process in Vel Tech was so simple and Neat First they will be asking for the following Aadhar 10th, 11th, 12th Mark Sheets 12th Certificate TC certificate Caste Certificate Income Certificate Bonafide (if necessary) And then we are requested to pay the full fee amount I joined through management quota.
