About my college

Faculty of commerce is good in our college .Professors are well trained in their subjects. Canteen management is not good in our college. Well i guess it is okay to have not so good canteen otherwise students will depend on junk food every time.

I gave the entrance for B.COM Hons. Last year at Lucknow University. This course is a specialized course of B.com where it provides large scope in various department of commerce. My interest is to work in Banking Industry so for this reason i have opted for this course. This course will help me in acquiring knowledge and skills regarding banking department. As it deals with subjects like Finance Accounting,Public Finance which helps in dealing matters regarding banking. Admission process was very simple at Lucknow University .University had conducted written examination which was the combination of subjects like General Awareness, Maths ,English Language and Logical Reasoning. Each Section had a passing marks on basis of which candidates were supposed to attempt in order to get qualified. There was no interview process.Candidates were selected on the basis of marks obtained in entrance test and their 10th and 12th mark sheets.

In today's scenario, Commerce has became one of the most selective course. The course which i have selected is B.com Hons. which is a specialized course of commerce. It provide great scope in various field like IT department, Banking industries, Chartered Accountant, M.B.A etc.

Our college does not provide internship for every course. There are limited course which include internship in it. Internship for B.CA ,B.B.A ,B.COM Hons. is available in our college. Various companies like Tata Consultancy, Bharti Airtel, Eldeco, Godrej, State Bank of India, HDFC etc. came for the purpose of recruitment.

There were 100 students who got placed through placement and job opportunities. There were around 10 companies who came to campus for recruitment. These companies are as follows: Tata Consultancy : 5 lac per year, HDFC: 3 lac per year, S.B.I : 2.5 lac per year, Godrej : 3.7 lac per year, Eldeco: 2 lac per year, Bharti Airtel: 2.5 lac per year. Other many companies ranging from 2-6 lac.

List of events in our colleges are: Xenium Fest: It occurs during winter where the cultural and sports activities are involved, India 20-20 : A national seminar which is a vision for the new millenium, growth and challenges. This event is huge big where the chief guest came and held a seminar. This event was organised in the memory of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on his Birth Anniversary which is regarded as World Students Day on 15th October. I actively participated in this event.

Fees structure is feasible on comparing with other universities. B.Com Hons.- 5000 per month, B.com - 4000 per month, B.Sc-5500 per month, B.B.A- 5500 per month, Other courses -4000-6000 per month. Above fees structure was for Under Graduate Courses. For Post Graduate Courses, fees become double.

Yes, there is a scholarship provided by our college. This scholarship is provided to those student who secures from 80%to 90%. These students just have to open new account with Punjab National Bank where the scholarship amount get deposited. Scholarship amount depends upon the percentage scored by the students in 12th.

Campus life- It is good according to me. Gender ratio is equal as both the parties involve in college activities equally. Workshop is conducted on the monthly basis which has high standards.It is influencing and motivating. There is no discrimination of students on the basis of culture ,religion, caste ,race,sexual orientation etc. Each and every student has equal rights.Our campus is Anti-Ragging so students are free here to express their ideas and views. Extracurricular activities are also equally good. Various cultural activities are conducted for the sake of students.Students actively participate in these activities.

I don't know much about the hostel facilities and mess food because my hometown is in Lucknow only.But as far as I am concerned that the hostelers keep complaining about the hostel facilities and mess food. One day i visited the hostel building i found it completely normal.Rooms were big and well designed.In each room ,3 girls are suppose to live. Well hostelers were true about the management of mess that it is not good. According to me ,it should be taken care of because this leads to bad impression on the management of hostel as a whole. So i am giving it 3 star out of 5 star ,3 star only for the environment of the hostel.

Yes, our senior students are very helpful. I remember the day when i was called by our faculty members to work with our seniors in promoting our college. My job is to motivate the freshers to join our college. Seniors provide us strategy as how to influence new students towards our college. It was a great support by our seniors. This made our promotional activities more effective. Our strategy was to divide the group in section and supposed to move to different area and we were also not supposed to reveal our identities to our competitors (other colleges).This strategy worked very well. Hence ,Our Seniors were great helper to us and they taught me to work in group and to make good strategy and it should be followed.

Well, Exams and labs left me with a chilled out day. Sometimes it may become a hectic day if it is not scheduled properly. Exam structure is almost good in our college. There is a proper gap between the exams which provide us enough time to revise our subjects. Question papers are well organized.

Faculty of our college should be very interesting. Then only we will be able to show our interest in any particular subject to the faculty members. Faculty must adopt good teaching skills and effective communication with students. They must be qualified and expert in their subjects so that they can teach through demonstration and case studies. Student gain more knowledge through practical exercise as compared to lectures only. Faculty should make each and every student to take part in seminars, events, industrial visit, power point presentation etc. So that the interest of learning increases in students.
