Remarks

Pros : good college for skill enhancement, placements and learning. Cons: old infrastructure and building, hostel is not up to the mark.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum of most of the engineering colleges in india are 20-30 years old but I am glad to tell you that the CSBS course is at par with the modern tools which will be the future of coming generation. So before the revolution knocks the door, courses like CSBS and AI are perfect to build a solid foundation for the undergrads.

Placement Experience

5

Since my course has taken its birth last year only so I would list some companies which recruited CSE students last year. Cisco: 29lpa. Western digital: 20 lpa. RedBus : 32 lpa ( ML) National Instrument: 16 lpa. These are just few names as par as I got to know from my seniors. There were lot more with 100 ? placement record with an avg package of above 7 lpa in tech branches. Non tech branches have a low pay scale but all get placed at the end, few goes for MS degree. Regarding internships, college provides good amount of opportunity for students. The placement cell of our college is very active and they assist in placement drives.

College Events

5

There are many clubs in our college, from tech to non tech like CSI and LCC the two giants of tech clubs along with an international club: google DSC. They organise fests and coding competitions which boost the skills of students. We have some artistic clubs such as the EDBoard which is the biggest student club of entire mysore. It organizes big fests for students to outshow their softskills and art. Sports culture is also amazing in our college but the thing it lacks is proper training to the people good in sports field.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For the non - Karnataka people its bit expensive ( 2.4 lpa ) but for the people who got enrolled through KCET( state exam of theirs just like we had comedk) the fees is very less(1 lpa). You have to give it in a one time transaction. The mode of payment is by either DD or cash. For more info regarding finance I recommend to visit official page. Before admission you have to pay 55k security money right after councelling process which will be adjusted to normal fees later.

Fees and Financial Aid

It offers payment on loan and scholorship to certain class of people having special quotas. Like one of my friend has to pay only 20k per year as he has jammu quota and one has north east quota. Few people coming from lower caste family can avail scholorship on merit. Or if someone' s father is a martyr then they get many ressumptions.

Campus Life

3.5

The size of the campus is quite large ( 102 acre). Campus if full of greenery and the air is also very fresh. Temple and a prayer hall is there if you have a faith on almighty. Gender ratio is good M:F :: 5:3 ( approx). Diversity is also seen here as 15? students here are from north India and they all gel up very well. As said earlier the student clubs regularly conduct cultural as well as tech events. Sahas club is there to take care of adventures and trekk.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostels are located in the campus itself. Sharing depends on the availability of rooms for you. Ranges from 2 people to 4 people sharing. Mess food is not so good( genuinely). Cost is 60 k per year.

Alumni/Alumna

Notable alumni of our college are : Akhilesh Yadav( former cm of UP) Javagal Srinath( former indian cricket player) Dhananjay Vijay prakash( the man who sung Jai Ho) The network is very vast. From google to ISRO people have represented our college. The alumni to which I have talked to were very friendly. They have their alumni meets once a year.

Admission

I gave the entrance exam called COMEDK under which Engineering Colleges of Karnataka are open for students to get admission in based on their score in this examination. I honestly had never heard of my college before I got to know that at my rank(around 3k) the best college I could get a CSE branch in is this. I had choices between BIT banglore and JSS Mysore the reason I chose this one was the new course which they introduced : CSBS. CSBS insights: Its a new course introduced by 30 universities this year with the collaboration with TCS who aims to produce skilled engineers in the coming years having focus more on Business analytics along with AI. The brouchure of this course along with the syllabus was there out in the internet and I chose to have this course which is only available in our college in whole karnataka. So I went through the councelling process in bangalore and grabbed a seat in this branch. The opening rank was 1.9k and the closing one 3.8 k. Its a good college to take admission in with an amazing scope in future with regards to placements.

Faculty

5

CSBS is a new course for us and so for the faculty members. Few faculties have adapted this very nicely and the energy level while they teach is amazing. While the average age is about 35 to 40 most of the lecturers are very friendly and co-operative atleast in our department which has currently about 10-12 professors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
