A Good time for an Engineer

After 7th sem, a candidate is eligible to appear for the college placements. The companies that visit are amdocs, TCS, Infosys, digivalet, amazon, Goldman sachs, etc. The average package provided is 3.6 lpa, while the lowest is 1.2 lpa, and the highest is 20lpa. The above companies hire at a package of 4 - 5lpa. The profiles offered were chief engineer, software engineer, executive engineer, data analyst, etc. The package may range for each company, year to year. The percentage of placement is 100%. Although, I plan to pursue my Master's from abroad in Machine Learning.

The campus life is good. The annual tech fest and the cultural fest of the university, moonstone, is a 7 day fest, with competitions fron academic to non academic, DJ night, etc. Library provides all the ranges of books to the students varying from course books to competitive, novels, etc. Classrooms are wide and spacious. The sports and extra curricular activities are also conducted as university premiere league, for over a week. There are many social groups formed by the students such as Blood donation camps, literature clubs, music club, drama clubs, etc.

The fee structure of a normal tuition fee is around 90k. The other includes the library fees, lab fees, welfare, etc. The students belonging to backward classes, like OBCs have to submit their yearly income form to claim the scholarship. The scholarship provided to them is 30k per year. There is no waiver in the university fees and internships are sponsored by the university for the students to earn while studying. Such internships are NSS, NGOs, etc. These are manly target based internships. The best tip is, to earn money while studying, find a part time job out of the campus.

The newly constructed girls hostel is good, clean and spacious, and is provided with a wifi for everyone's use. A wide room of 12*12 feet is provided to share among three people. The room has table, beds and wardrobes. The mess food is mediocre. Students prefer to buy the lunch from the outside of the university. Boy's hostel is poorly constructed and is haggard building. The rooms are small and smelly. Hostelers from boys hostel prefer to rent a flat somewhere outside the campus after an year due to poor accommodation and mess food.

There were no GD/PI sessions while the admission process. You just have to be on time in the university on the date of joining. An orientation program is conducted on the first day for all the freshers.
