Remarks
The management is a bit greedy when it comes to fee collection for different academic activities such as exam fee and fee for other activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes, they try to provide industry specific knowledge but they come up short in providing such a knowledge. There is not much change year on year with respect to the subjects that are being taught to students, the same outdated subjects and technologies with a bit of modification will be provided to students.Industrial visits were organised for students.
Placement Experience
Placement is not one of their strengths, a lot of companies such as TCS, Infosys, Mindtree, byjus and many more companies visit the college for placements. But the numbers of people they hire compared to the overall student population of the college is very low. I would say by max around 20 percent of students would be placed. They did take initiative to provide training for placement season but the response from students would be very poor mainly due to the faculty who would conduct such a training
College Events
They celebrate a lot of technical and cultural events in the college. I would say around 10 to 12 in a year. I believe that cultural events are huge in terms of participation when compared to technical ones. Although the college conducts more tech events than cultural ones.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college fee structure is pretty transparent, they accept various modes of fee payment both online and offline. But, offline modes of fee payment is pretty dominant. The program fees depends on the type of entrance exam written by the student and the reservation category the belong to typically for the same course the year fees could be as low as 30000 INRper year for a student to as high as 200000 INR per year. My fee was 6lacs for the total course of 4 years
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I haven't availed a loan nor a scholarship. The college did provide lot of opportunities for scholarships for a huge number of students.
Campus Life
The campus life was pretty flat, the gender ratio for my couse was at 60 percent male to 40 percent female.workshops are conducted regularly. Their is no huge diversity in the student population as most (around 90percent )of them come from the same state. There is very high tolerance, any person from anywhere will be accepted into social circles, irrespective of race, religion, ethnicity and economic status. The student parties or dorm parties were not allowed inside the college premises just small celebration for birthdays were allowed. When it comes to cultural societies they were pretty much non existant until it was the season for events.
Hostel Facilities
No,I haven't opted for hostel.although the hostel fee would be around 50000 to 60000 INR per year on rooms that are provided on sharing basis. Individual rooms are much more expensive. The average rental for pg nearby would start from 5000 INR per month to 9000 INR per month which includes food as well.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students are pretty helpful when it comes to academics and other extra curricular activities. The interaction from alumni is pretty much non existent.
Admission
Good college in the locality, proximity to home, good infrastructure, good placements and faculty.the admission process is pretty straight forward just to give a couple of competative exams apply for the particular course and college after your 12th grade.
Faculty
There were around 30 35 lecturers for my course, all of them were min post graduates by qualification, around 25- 30 percent of them held a doctorate in their respective fields.their age as a whole was widely variable, Professors who had just joined the college to professors having experience of2 - 3 decades were present in the college. Although the average work experience they had was I believe around 7-10 years minimum.
