Remarks
IIM-Calcutta is one of the top 5 IIMs and Business schools in India and to get this, it is more than a dream. The reason for IIM-Calcutta being one of the best is the standard of education. Adding to it is the cozy environment of the institute. The college is better than the other colleges because the after-life of the Institue is more cherishable and fruitful. There are higher possibilities of getting jobs in top MNCs as IIM-Calcutta is so prolific in those terms.
Course Curriculum Overview
Like the level of education, the B-school has set its own benchmark and tries to break the same. The teaching staff inculcates not only business values but the practical moral values in the students. The two years at the IIM-C taught me how life will work in the future and in terms of business, the world has different dimensions. The lively class sessions by the professors are always a treat. The lectures never become boring as interesting methods of teaching-learning are imbibed. There are 6 term exams. These are difficult to clear but with the provided level of study material and teaching, it becomes more competent.

Apart from the annual fest, there are business seminars and summits conducted. Leaders from different fields share their experiences through discussions arranged by the institute. The college also gives ample opportunities in extracurricular and sports activities. For this, there are several clubs & committees created. Facilities - Library, Sports, auditorium, labs, cafeteria, ATM, TV, housekeeping, etc.
Hostel Facilities
The Institute provides accommodation facilities. The hostel fees are not included in the total fees of Rs 21,00,000. There are common hanging rooms, games rooms where students can chill and have gossips. With co-ed hostels also in the place, it was more fun chilling and cracking jokes. The surroundings were amazing and we used to celebrate even the festivals in the hostel. The mess food was clean, hygienic, and tasty at the same time. Overall, the hostel life is wonderful.
Interview Experience
IIM-C conducts an interview round for students who clear the GD round. There are certain marks allotted for the same. My experience in his round was pretty average but I managed to convert the same. I fumbled in many questions. The major questions asked were hobbies, why MBA, greatest achievement, blogs, data analysts, finance sector, employment opportunities in future, etc.The most important thing in the interview round is to be innovative and confident.
