Scholarships in my knowledge have been given to only those if you have performed in sports at national level or to those who have single parent and are not in a good economic condition.

Campus life is very good, you will get a lot to interact with girls or boys, there is a good gender diversity. You wont find a girl in the mechanical or civil branch, but if you are in any other stream, you will get to interact with a lot of girls. Plus the campus life improved my personality by far margin.

Hostel facilities are very good as compared to other colleges. Proper attention to the security of the students is given. Mess food is fine, but if you don't want to eat, you have an alternative option as the night canteens. So, you really don't have to worry about it much.

Yes, alumni meets are conducted every year and senior students are also good. There have been no incidents of ragging being reported so as a junior, you are very safe there.

Exam structure is a bit hectic. You will have exams each month. For a single semester, U will have two CT's for 50 marks each. Then you will go through a Model exam for 100 marks in which the full course is covered. And finally, it is the semester examination which carries the maximum weight age.

The faculty of the college is not as good as compared to the reputation of the college. Most of the faculty comes from the nearby so that they are not proficient at all in their own subjects. So it will be good to opt for the Kattankulathur campus or if you are fine with the self-study option, then its great.
