Worth Joining at IIM-Nagpur for PGPM

Good: Highly qualified faculty, quality educational services, amazing campus life, and 100 % placements and job opportunities. Bad: Pressures during exams, late admission pressures. Admission process: Qualify the sectional CAT cutoff, document verification, WAT, personal interview, academic profile, and work experience.

I opted for the PGPM at IIM Nagpur because of the world-class and quality educational services. The faculties are highly knowledgeable and experts in their respective domains. They are helpful and friendly and teach in a unique way by using real-life examples with the help of paper presentations and case-studies are easily understandable. These faculties are versatile, they guide us during the placements and internship opportunities.

IIM Nagpur successfully conducted the summer internship placements and 100% of students were placed. Surprisingly, more than 100+ companies participated in the summer placements from various sectors was Sales & Marketing, Operations, Finance, Analytics. The major recruiters were Philips Carbon Black, V Guard, Life Sciences, Lens Kart, Genpactx Crompton Greaves, etc. The highest stipend was INR 120,000, the average stipend stood at INR 54,064, and the median stipend offered was INR 50,000.

Placements at IIM Nagpur are amazing. Every year, 100% of placements are recorded. This year, the major recruiters were ValueLabs & Trianz, FITJEE, Tredence Analytics, Mahametro, and various others. The highest salary has raised upto 100% from last year's INR 20 LPA to this year's INR 40 LPA. More than 50 reputable and renowned companies visited the campus to recruit candidates. The male: female ratio for the placements was 78:22 respectively. Therefore, the highest CTC offered was INR 40 LPA, the average CTC offered was INR 13 13 LPA, and most of them were placed under the Consulting and Engineering Sectors. A total of 101 offers were made for the 111 students who took part in the campus placements.

Although the fee structure for PGPM at IIM Nagpur was expensive around 1375000, the institute offers various scholarships to meritorious and deserving students to pursue their PGPM with no hurdles which are Scholarships for Top Class Education For disabled students, Top Class Education Scheme for SC students, National Fellowship & Scholarship for the higher education of ST students, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship, and Chief minister fellowship yojana (CMFY).

Campus lifestyle at IIM Nagpur is the best, within the duration of two years, I lived the best days of my life which I will always cherish. All the facilities and amenities are provided. The smart classrooms are air-conditioned, fixed with projectors and sound systems. There's a huge library, an auditorium that has more than 1000 seating capacity, a seminar hall with speakers and projectors, a spacious playground for outdoor games, a sports club, and a cafeteria with various food variants. There are academic as well as non-academic clubs and committees are for placements, hostels, academic council, alumni, mess, infrastructure, and events. Each of the committees is managed by the members of the Student Council.

The hostel is well-managed and well-maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with various facilities such as RO water purifiers, water geysers, laundry services, etc. The rooms are either single or double occupancy with beds, tables, and a cupboard. These rooms are air-conditioned. The hostel is entirely enabled with internet accessibility. The mess committee members take care of the food and they tend to provide the best food options to everyone as per their preference.

The final selection is based on PI & WAT which is conducted by the experts of IIM Nagpur. Questions are usually asked from current affairs and changes that are happening in the sales & marketing sectors, General Awareness, General Knowledge, and Personal Interests & Work Experience. Few questions that were asked to me were 1. What is inflation? Causes of inflation? 2. Who is the Greenway Minister? 3. What are your hobbies and interests? 4. What are long-term and short-term goals? 5. What are 2 types of business transactions? Etc. WAT topics were like 1. White Revolution in India, 2. What if I don't succeed? Overall the interview process was a bit easy and a bit difficult.
